Let's try and forget for a moment the obvious many issues with the team. I want to focus on the impact of yesterday's win. Within seconds, I was getting congratulatory text messages from friends and relatives from all over the country.

Heck, there was even this from a LinkedIn connection. El-Erian, in case you don't know, is a noted economist, not a football commentator.

Everyone notices when you do well, and they notice when you don't -- they just don't mention it. You exit the conversation.

It's been eons since everyone talked about the Florida Gators. Wouldn't it be great if we were back in the conversation? Those empty seats at SOS Field yesterday screamed help!

More production on the field, more discipline on and off the field, and less of the hokey yokel bull**** from the HC would help fan psyche more than anything.

My psyche will only be uplifted when Butters and Nuss are chucked. While, I appreciate any win, I know a great but lucky pass when I see it and I know an inept OC and a clearly overwhelmed HC when I watch them. This team needs a new leader. Sadly, the wait will continue.

Many folks I know in South Florida did not make the trip this time due to Irma aftermath. I'm sure was true around the state. We were also hearing of possible massive traffic issues on I-75.

Whatever happened to "Act like you've been there?".

I'm thrilled that the players got a win but the Program is Broken.

Happy for the win...happy for the kids...apparently happier than Mac.

Unclear why you put that in ital. Sarcasm or for extra emphasis?

I'll always take the win and I am not one of those "rather lose so we can get the coach fired" kinda fans. Having said that, In Urbans first year when we were 4-0 and then got crushed in Tuscaloosa, I still had a good feeling about the program going forward. I DO NOT have that feeling and haven't had it for a long time. Nothing about yesterdays game gives me any hope that the offense is headed in the right direction and what's so damn frustrating is if we could get the offense going, things would be exceedingly better. But for some reason we can't seem to find an OC thats competent enough to do that. Nuss and Mac are locked at the hip and that's a problem because Nuss shoulda been gone but I think there is too much buddy, buddy, "I love these guys" BS going on.

Thrilled for the win...i don't care how we beat tenerc just beat them and if you can embarrass them by blowing them out or rip their hearts out like the last 2 games in The Swamp it's all great. However, UF is not really a good team and we didn't beat a good team yesterday. Butch is a worse coach than Mac and how he is still employed there is comical...i hope they keep him forever. So i guess to sum it up I am happy with the win but not encouraged about the prospects of this staff coaching this team.
