I think he was a WR that impressed in a scrimmage. Heard part of the story. So that doesn't surprise me that he didn't start in HS.

I hope people still aren't on the Mullen train. Besides his horrible record against ranked teams and only 1 winning SEC record in 8 years he is now only 2-14 against top 25 teams when Miss State is ranked in the top 25 also - one of the worst top 25 matchup records out of all the FBS coaches.

Agree all along with you guys Durty & Sas. IMO, the boosters should have thought out-of-the-box and had an ultimatum talk with Miles; then, found him a more varied OC scheemer/good O recruiter. And given that a try. The recruits in La loved Miles. I liked his coaching persona.

These offense-constipated HCs (e.g. Mac) need some headhunting search consortium to force in a valid OC and tell the HC to listen & learn from that guy's PowerPoint sales pitch. It couldn't have made LSU stumble more than the
firing disloyalty + winding up with Ogeruin.?? ... and Mac would be freed of the torture rack of firing his best friend. I bet Mac would totally hide behind his desk as he heard Swonky walking out Nuss & giving it to him, while Trex is biting Nuss ankles -- this is no place for dignity.
