1. Georgia - I give them the edge based on defense and their running game. Their O line seems a little better than the poor one last season. Tough SEC slate with Auburn and Miss State.
2. Florida - Still a big unknown going forward but most of the East doesn't appear to be that good right now. Are the defensive numbers just the result of the offense keeping them on the field?
3. Vanderbilt - This team has been surprising so far. Held a pretty good offense in check and has a better passing game this season so far than they usually do. Capable of upsetting Georgia or Florida I think. Play Bama this season.
4. Tennessee - Probably capable of winning any remaining SEC East game but also capable of losing any of them also. Just don't seem to be clicking good.
5. Kentucky - Playing competent defense so far especially against the run but still seem pretty limited on offense - down from last year's offense.
6. South Carolina - they have a decent QB and a decent defense but the loss of that WR will be felt quite a bit. The QB can't do it alone and their rushing attack is pretty poor so far. Will struggle to become bowl eligible and may come up short.
7. Missouri - In disarray right now with a terrible defense and their passing game only seems to click good against poor defenses. Probably a 3 win team. I doubt they even win an SEC game.

How I see the SEC East right now. Curious what others think.

Pretty good but I'd move UT to 6th and then bump Kentucky and South Carolina up one in the same order you have them.

Georgia is the team to beat on paper, but the game is played on the field.
I give Florida the edge. Smart isn't as smart as he thinks he is.

SC lost their best defender yesterday for the season. Debo (sp?) Samuel. That's gonna hurt.

Certainly UMo is last. My view is that Vandy has the best win but it was at home. Georgia has a nice win too, though UND may not be very good.

I said after UMich that UF would win the East and yesterday convinced me more that that was true. SoCar turned out to be a bit of a mirage and UK has not really played very well either, if you look that their results other than at SoCar. I guess if I ranked them right now based on what the teams have done, it would be:

1. Vandy
2. UGa
3. UF
4. UTn
5. UK
6. SoCar
7. UMo

My off the cuff guess on the final east standing are:

1. UF
2. UGa
3. Vandy
4. UK
5. UTn
6. SoCar
7. UMo

Honestly, I cant tell the difference between them. Talentwise, Ugly has the most, Vandy has the least. Otherwise they are all basically interchangeable and could win or lose each week. Injuries will likely be the biggest factor bc none standout otherwise.
