"On Jachai Polite’s hustle play: “He was actually one of our defensive players of the game. It’s interesting, when you look at that singular play. The guy made some guys miss, made a heck of a play. When you look at it, both he and Kyree (Campbell) who were at the line of scrimmage were the two guys who got to the ball carrier because they never quit. … If he’s not there and Kyree’s not there, that guy scores. It kind of

That was a big damn deal and it is pretty easy for those guys to give up on that play and not give their all. We didnt see other DL making plays like that. We need to see that heart out of all the guys.

I hope he gives those dudes a start as a reward.

As much as the TD to Cleveland, that play may change the mindset of this team. Learning what it takes to be winners. Its those little things. It also may take the kids dragging our coaches, kickng and screaming, into being something other than incredibly ultra conservative.
Maybe we should put Polite back as a kick returner. He looked like Forrest Gump running by the running back and he would be a load to tackle.

What we need on punt returns is an up person who is a great blocker, back in the day I seem to remember a FB opening holes for the returners.

Dawson was in no way correcting coach Mac ... nothing will correct Mac.

This thread title made me think I was going to see more of the same demeanor as last week. I'm as critical of Mac as at least half the posters on this board (although I haven't necessarily expressed it here), but I thought he did a pretty decent job during this presser.

All the comments coming out of the locker room are positive and supportive. They are not buying into the negativity. You may say their performance warrants the criticism. Great, keep bringing the heat. They are developing thick skin and pulling together. They are not cracking under the intense scrutiny they appear to be coming together as a team. That is a good sign. I like the way they are circling the wagons rather than folding the tent.

It's two games. Once they sh*t the bed again, which literally came a c*nt hair away from happening Saturday, how will the locker room be? Once they get punched in the face again by a team w/ a solid defense and a competent coach (unlike Tennessee) how will they respond? It's easy to be happy after a win w/ an ending like that....but you know it, I know it, they know it....something is wrong w/ this coaching staff and this offense. It's broken and it WILL get exposed....again. Like we've see time and again the last 2+ seasons. So sugar-coat it now, while you can. There's 10 more chances for this coaching staff to prove their incompetence. (disclaimer: I feel for these kids being led by this incompetent bunch of coaches)

On Feleipe Franks: . … Obviously the interception was designed,.......

WTF???

On CB C.J. Henderson: “He’s obviously been in there and he’s had a pretty expanded role anyway. Obviously it puts some pressure on us. … (C.J. McWilliams) is a guy obviously we’ll have to get more out of.” Brad Stewart and Quincy Lenton will be involved at nickel.

Obviously. o_O

Doesn't look like suspended players will be back ever. That, in part, would affect his demeanor.

Yep, and we were just finally beginning to fill the 85 man roster. Here we go back down to 70 scholarship players again.
