Who you referring to?

Scarlett. He started a new thread. I merged it with the already existing thread on our suspended players. Sorry about the confusion. There were literally two brand new threads started at almost the same time about the suspended players. I'm not exactly sure why new threads were started. Still the same old story until something formal from the university comes out imo.

And now yet a 3rd thread started for the exact same article. Nobody around here reads thread titles apparently.

SECCountry is repeating a report, from the same source that apparently broke the original card-scam story, stating that 2 or more arrests are likely by the end of the week. Callaway and Smith were named specifically as likely targets. The original source is also reporting that Callaway, among others, is also being investigated in the same credit card fraud case involving Jordan Smith. If that's true, the scheisse sturm is gonna be a lulu.

I don't think its gonna be much of a scheisse sturm. I'd bet most people are like me and have long since written these fellas off. For Callaway, its really gotta sting after being the hero of the Swamp against UT two years ago, and just like that he gets to watch others take his place as a hero on the field while he gets ready for his new "life." That being said I'd prefer to find out that all this was just some misunderstanding or no big deal, but I'd be shocked if it were the case.

In any event, I see a lot of great young players who are cutting their teeth right now, and a bunch more on the way. If we could get an adult to somehow coach them up a little we'll be fine.

If we didn't have proof we wouldn't have charged it.

That is a bit much to swallow in this day of over charging, particularly by the Feds. That said, I do agree with you that innocent until proven guilty in a court of law does not require the rest of us to pretend someone that shot someone on tv is innocent until proven guilty.

I think the grand theft charges may well become something less and no trial comes out of this, but we shall see.

Honestly, just walk away from these guys. Cut them all off. They didn't care about this program, only themselves, why should anyone care about them?

What an absolute sh*t-show!

I'm telling you right now, this is the UAA's "out" w/ McElwain. They can claim he lost control of the team and fire him "for cause". Hell, they can fire the entire staff and just move on. We're already on a sort of probation as it is, losing 9 scholarship players. Might as well take advantage of it.

Yes ! Let's admit that this is big enough for some NCAA infractions. We will have big time coaches lined up !

Did I say anything about NCAA? No. I said the coach losing control of the team. That is completely different than "lack of institutional control". But thanks for making the assumption. This could EASILY be construed as him not doing his job. He has NINE kids that he's responsible for (more than 10% of our scholarship athletes) that are involved in a theft ring. Pin it on him. Someone has to take the fall...might as well be the guy who can't get our offense out of the bottom teir of the entire NCAA. But yeah, let's get put on probation. What a stupid comment. Thanks, you made me laugh.

Three Florida Gators are to be charged with felony grand theft according to USA Today. Antonio Callaway, Jordan Smith and one other unnamed.. It is anticipated that six others will be charged. It is possible that charges will be filed by the end of this week
