Guaranteed we kick Georgia's ass, it makes me sick you guys are ranking them ahead of us. They beat a bad Notre Dame team that went 4-8 last year, and Cousin Eddie. We will hear about how good there defense is leading up until the game, and then pound them into submission, by running it down their throats.

Every time Ive seen an SEC East team this year, Ive thought they are probably the worst team in the SEC, sometimes of both teams when both are SEC East teams. Ugly is the only one that looks even slightly talented.

What kind of gator fan ever puts the leghumpers above the gators on any list?
Fyi ... I already told McYet as long as he beats those asswipes he keeps his job. Otherwise...

Prediction... yes, we'll still be rank.

I'm tempted to give dislikes to everyone that puts those miscreant, leg humping, hobnail sucking douche nozzles above UF. At least have the common decency to use an "XXXX".

Coming into a thread and seeing that name on top ???

UF wins the SEC East

Mac will somehow back door into the East for a 3rd straight year and Stricklin will inevitably give him another raise and contract extension
to almost all Gator fans dismay. This will prolong their misery, and Mac will continue to feel underappreciated increasing his snarky tone toward them, and the media when they continue to ask reasonable questions about his, & his staff's, poor coaching performances.

YEAH!!! :rolleyes3:

If we close with the commits we have (or more) it will be worth it.

There won't be any backing in to Atlanta this year. It just doesn't set up that way. The winner in Jax most likely takes the East, with Uk and ut still having an outside chance if either we or uga go into full meltdown.

But again, to be clear, for all JM's faults, he hasn't backed in to the East in either year. I understand it's become the narrative, but it's simply inaccurate. With all the reasons we have(some mentioned in your post) to bag on this staff, there's no need to manufacture things.

just so we're clear, are you saying that the 2 SEC wins we have this year were not back door winning, and not because the other coaching staffs lost them more so than Mac winning them?

Mac is very fortunate to have been coaching against Jones & Stoops in those 2 games. IDT Mason will let him win that way.

I don't think Vandy is talented enough regardless of coaching to beat us. For sure coaching is subpar. And recruiting super flawed. But those teams are really inferior in talent.

TN and GA are as good if not better in talent. Sadly.

I agree, but I don't think the UF staff is strong enough to overcome even large talent deficiencies

I also doubt that a Mason coached team will leave receivers open for 2 easy scores (of which likely won the game) - then again, they were just raped by bama to the tune of 59 points, so there's that.

What I meant is that if we win the East, imo, it can only come by us winning it on the field, including in Jax. If they aren't upset this weekend by ut, I don't see uga losing to anyone else on their schedule.

But you stated we'd backed in to Atlanta twice already, which isn't the case. You can't call it backing in when you win the division by 2 games.

And yes, of course we are fortunate to have won games thus far. My post wasn't some ringing endorsement of the staff. We've been fortunate plenty before and had no problem with it. I think people forget games like Usce in '92, '93 and '99. Or Gaffney's catch in 2000 against the vols. Or one of our best teams, and eventual SEC Champs, needing a miracle play to a walk on a post pattern that Uk somehow didn't expect. Or in 2006, the fsu player narrowly avoiding staying in bounds on his KO return that would've tied things up. Or the uga RB's fumble that year that was the only reason our NC team avoided overtime against the bulldogs. Or the vol defender's hands-to-the-face play negating a pick-6 in a 1-point win.

There is always a measure of good fortune in an team's success. And while I'm not happy with McElwain, and have said so on many occasions, I'm also balanced enough to acknowledge that games like NoColorado are on the schedule for a reason, and we lost an opportunity to perhaps work out a few wrinkles and improve confidence. Add that to the games we lost or had affected last year, the PEDs and injuries at QB, and I think you could equally argue that he's been battling bad luck through most of his time here.

Now having said that, I hope this team recognizes the gifts they've been given and stops allowing things to get to the point they've been in the past 2 weeks.

Auburn could beat Georgia I guess but Georgia has their number most years it seems. Unless we had a crazy turnover advantage I don't see Georgia losing to us this year however.
