Look, I appreciate ole Urbs and all he did here before he blew a gasket in his heart, but don't you all think we've suffered enough from the post Meyer era? All the injuries. All the QBs sucking or transferring away if they have any talent at all. It's the Urban Meyer curse we're suffering folks. The championships were awesome, but do we really want to suffer another 12 year curse just in exchange for a couple of championships? Do we really?:scratchchin:

Before we hire him back I feel we should discuss Nord.

I'd take two more National Championships in the next 5 years knowing he was leaving. Foley is no longer sitting in the main UAA office to eff up the next hire...

No way he comes back. I would be surprised if they even called him unless he has a history with a candidate. Smokescreen for UF, clickbait for Ox, nothing more.

If there was mutual interest from Meyer, would it be desperate for us to hire him? Just about every Gator fan, whether they like to admit, would trade another 6 years of glory even if it meant a massive flame out like last time. I'm sick of losing and I'm sick of loser coaches...like him or not, Urbs is a winner.

I don't want to win the way Urban did. I don't want to win with players with the type of character that he had. He didn't manage or enforce any level of discipline. I don't want to win like that again. It makes the school look bad. I would rather lose and still have the school viewed as a classy institution than win like that.

Fair point. I'm just so sick of losing I'm desperate.

It’s like this... say you dated a chick and she gave the BEST blowwjob you ever had. But then she dumps you and your heart is broken. It takes you months, even years to get over her.

But then one day... you find out she might be willing to come back over and give you another b’job. You remember just how AMAZING it was. You’re understandably afraid of being hurt again... BUT if she actually shows up at your door... what will you do? You KNOW how good she is... and that she’ll “even” swallow like the true champion of oral sex that she is.

Now let me ask you a question... Are you gonna let her ‘job you? Or are you gonna slam the door in her face for all the past hurt? What’cha gonna do?

Run because she might shoot you twice in the head and steal your credit cards. (But that’s another active thread.)

That may be the worst article I've ever read. I kept waiting for him to make his point. If he made one, I missed it.
Yeah, I don't know what he said either. But the poll below it is interesting. Sweatervest winning big.

In the end, Creyer's problem is his hesitation to pass and his infatuation with option QBs. He won in 2014, but only because his first two QBs got hurt forcing him to use his 3rd string QB (who couldn't run well) and forcing him to throw the ball. Of course, the last three games with the "3rd string" QB were fantastic and Suckeyes blew out the two best teams they played that year, after sucking on offense all year, and losing to Vatech, with there "better" QBs.

It was really no different at UF. ln 2006 UF vs OSU and Tebow's last game vs UC, Urban finally opened up the offense and we destroyed both team. Urban knows HOW to run a great offense and score at will even, he just wont.

I don't personally think he'll come back, but it's a legitimate rumor and worth discussing. My goal is to make the GCMB the premier Gator forum on the internet, so I am constantly reaching out to new people. If I can get the attention of new Gator fans with a rumor, then I'm going to do it. This particular rumor has blown up on our Facebook page, has tons of comments (good and bad), and has generated a bunch of clicks to the site from new people. That's the name of the game.

Every time a rumor is shared, it seems like we have someone that complains about it. I guess it would be preferred that no one shares any information and we just sit around looking at each other, or perhaps just talk about the weather.
The idea of promoting your site, drumming up new participation and users is a smart business decision. I think everyone appreciates that. Some of us just prefer it wasn't done like a CNN #Fakenews way but it's your site.

Revisionist history...

Cardale Jones was a terrible QB at throwing and he had Elliott who ran over both the teams he faced.

Are you out of your fvkking klansman's mind?

one week later in his first collegiate start, he completed 12 of 17 passes for 257 yards and three touchdowns to spark Ohio State to a 59-0 Big Ten championship game win over Wisconsin and its nationally ranked, No. 2 total defense ... Jones hit Devin Smith for three long scores -- covering 39, 44 and 42 yards -- and was named MVP of the game ... four weeks later he was equally impressive against Alabama and its No. 11 ranked defense: throwing for 243 yards and another long touchdown pass to Devin Smith (47 yards), plus rushing for 43 yards in the 42-35 win ... he directed the Buckeyes to 537 yards of offense vs. the Crimson Tide ... and then against Oregon for the national championship, Jones completed 69.6 percent of his passes (16 of 23) for 242 yards and one touchdown and the Buckeyes were nearly unstoppable offensively with 84 plays, 538 yards and a perfect 5-for-5 effort -- all touchdowns -- inside the red zone against the Ducks ... all combined, Jones threw for 742 yards and five touchdowns and rushed for 90 yards and one score in Ohio State's three-game post-season.

Did you forget Zeke ran for 230 against Bama and another 100 some against Oregon? Without that he doesnt throw for anything. I think you forget how inaccurate he really was. In 2015 he threw 8 tds to 5 ints and was benched due to his play.
