Chip Kelly to UCLA: $4 Mil/Year

The information I gave you guys was 100% genuine, straight from the mouth of someone in the UAA. The fact that they were hoping to announce Kelly today is 100% true. Assuming it doesn't happen, then the contract situation is still being worked out.

We are running out of time for recruiting purposes and Stricklin damn well knows every day counts.

So, who would be next in line if this falls through? ( Not that I think it will but if it wasn't a done deal shouldn't they be looking elsewhere as well ) Are they even looking at anyone else right now?... Trying to get my bearings in this insanity...

You wouldn't give me credit for anything no matter what I did, so debating with you is pointless. If you think all of this is made up, then so be it.

If Kelly isn't named the coach, your whining and b!tching will hold more water. However, everyone is hung up over the time of a press conference. There's no question Kelly's people have been in town negotiating this, it will be announced whenever it is ready. It's obvious there were more hangups in the negotiations than expected.

He built one of the best.....there are plenty of great athletic programs out there, and UF is among them.

The thing about the southern athletic departments/programs is they play a limited number of sports. Go look at the northern and west coast programs: men's soccer, wrestling, sailing, men's volleyball, men's lacrosse, beach volleyball, woman's field hockey, water polo, fencing, sprint football, equestrian, rowing, squash, men's gymnastics, synchronized swimming....

I don't think any reasonable UF fan thinks Foley did a bad job....outside of football. But you can't argue he made three TERRIBLE hires in football and HE let the facilities issue get out of hand (his words, his actions).

I already said I believe Kelly is our guy, but that was broken AFTER your guy said he WASN'T our guy. So no, I'm not just hung up on press conference times, I'm hung up on the majority of the bullsh*t we've been fed all week being completely wrong.

Everyone throws this Hugh Freeze thing at me. The report that came from me was that Hugh Freeze was the #1 TARGET back when Mac was hired - not that he was hired. He WAS the #1 target - that was 100% true. He made it clear early through his agent that he wasn't leaving Ole Miss.
