Agreed. Ya know, I've never been one to get all butt hurt about Meyer leaving. It was freaking GLORIOUS being a Gator with him, Timmy, Percy, etc working it. If we only get a similar time period AND movement on facilities (along with massively improvement in the on-field product) out of CK it'll be a win.

When someone gives you an answer that deflects or answers a question you did not ask - it is usually a sign of some kind of deception. He was asked what his interest was and immediately deflected while smiling. As soon as he finished what I assume was his pre-planned response to the question he knew was coming the hands go back in the pocket and the rocking starts.

Nervous laugh -- click. Eyes darting down and to the right -- click-click. Nervous shifting of feet -- click-click-click. Absolutely no attempt at a denial -- BOOM.

I think that it was hit on the head with this tweet. It’s not being announced until after FSU. Let these guys focus on FSU. Regardless of the state of our program or their program, this would be a huge win for us. Imagine winning that game and then getting Chip Kelly immediately afterwards. There would be great joy in Whoville.

As rehearsed as TV tends to be, is it at all possible that this "spontaneous" exchange was pre-planned down to the minute details of Kelly's verbal and non-verbal cues in order to elevate ratings?

Regardless whether it was, I still think it confirms his interest/involvement.

Maybe unrelated, but Chip said he doesn't stay in Bristol, but New Hampshire... and that is exactly where the UF plane went twice in October after the A&M loss... when Butters started acting weird like he was depressed.

Chip didn’t absolutely, or aggressively deny his interest but he did state he’s happy with his job he has now... I would also say that he would have to deny or deflect the noise until the university is ready to announce it. I wouldn’t exactly call what we just saw there fire, but, to say the least I’m pretty happy right now.

I really didn't think we'd beat FSU, but this team has improved each week. I know it was just UAB, but they are a bowl team that got beat how we were supposed to beat them. Still not Franks fan, but give him credit because he is improving. Saw him actually move off his first receiver. Nuss is using the middle of the field, not sure if Mac was preventing this. The DLine should have similar success against a shytty FSU OLine. Forsythe could get exposed by FSU's speed, but we should be able to road grade with our size up front. It'll be close, but I think we win.

I really feel like that whole thing with Kelly last night was a great sign. It's painfully obvious that he is the guy to me. And like someone mentioned above me, I do think Strickland is waiting until after the FSU game to announce anything final. Y'all just hold on. I think we got this dude

It’s possible Mac had already been informed at that point that he was done following the season. Chip Kelly could have already been contacted before the firing took place. The death threats claim just moved the timeline from after the season to after the UGA game.

This explains a few things.

1. Mac’s strange demeanor in press conferences. He knew the end was inevitable.

2. Stricklin’s positive demeanor in the press conference announcing Mac was gone. He already knew, through previous contact, one of his top choices would be a done deal.
