My, my, the little shrimp has spoken... Bianchi and Dooley for that matter are a waste of digital space.

Bianchi chose the wrong verbiage. I wouldn't have said broken. That infers internal dissension. I'd have said thin on talent.

We don't need Bianchi to tell us yesterday's news. We know an offensive guru when we see one.

I thought it was quite an interesting article and correct. However I award him no kudos b/c for years, long before Butters got here, many of us were pointing out (okay complaining) about a lot of the things that were in that article. I cite myself, Ox, Law, and probably many others off the top of my head, who saw the underpinnings of a disaster and it did not take us 2+ years to see Butters was a horrendous coach. So kudos to this JackA$$ for finally getting on board. Better late than never. Of course he never would have written that article while Butters was still employed, yet it was all true then also.

The content is correct. Jim McElwain couldn't have done a better job tearing down Gator football if he was deliberately trying to do so. The fact that so many, from the UF admin to the paid local journalists, knew it and looked the other way for so long is unconscionable. Who is held accountable for it? Jeremy Foley is STILL allowed to wander around those offices. Pat Dooley? Ho-hum, business as usual. It's outrageous.
Anyone that saw this stuff going on REAL TIME and said nothing is complicit. Even the pumpers to a degree were complicit because they refused to acknowledge anything wrong. The Titanic is not sinking. We've probably just broken a rudder. It'll be fine. They are all complicit. They saw it with their own eyes and CHOSE...yes CHOSE to look the other way. Start protecting the brand...that's for everybody to do. Not yell in all kinds if weather and claim piss is rain. Give me a break already.

Funny thing is he never mentions Nord. That could have been another full paragraph or two.

Bianchi's piece pretty much stated the obvious. I disagree with his comments about the future. When you listen to some of the commentators who cover our games they say that the there is plenty of young talent and that there is a strong foundation for the future. It is hard to see now because we are decimated by suspensions and injuries. Great coaching at this level is the key to success and we can see an immediate turn around with the right hire. Look at 2013 Auburn with Malzahn, Penn State with Franklin, or even UCF with Frost. Get the right guy and quit throwing out excuses like poor facilities, fan pressure or other BS. It is all about leadership and setting expectations and goals and then leading your team to achieving those goals.
I agree with some previous posts about the need for a strong AD who can focus on the non playing aspect of this almost 700 million dollar football program business . The 2017 value was actually 682 million which sounds impressive until you see OSU, Oklahoma, and Texas all over 1 billion. Bottom line is that big time college football is also big business. In the past 7 years we have done a bad job of running this business. I view the AD as the CEO of Florida Athletics and the football coach as the COO. We seem to have a CEO who understands our goals and now we need a COO to execute the game plan.
We can't afford another head coach hire who can't take the pressure, or who worries about not having Alabama's facilities.

Get a guy who has the maturity and leadership skills to hire strong position and recruiting staff. Someone who knows how to win now and establish a culture of confidence and swagger. We have had these leaders before, and if our AD makes the right call we can hire another another winner now.

Fall 2017 rank (state, national) University team Value

1, 11. Florida $682 million

2, 20. Florida State $385 million

3, 33. Miami $255 million

4, 61. Central Florida $82 million

5, 67. South Florida $70 million

6, 84. Florida International $24 million

7, 104. Florida Atlantic $13 million

This was a great post worthy of quoting. Incredible truth here. These guys need to be held accountable.
They do need to be held accountable. It was the same stuff after Zook, after Chump, and now Mac. Always the same thing, nobody ever calls these guys out. Wash, rinse, and repeat.

Meh. Every failed regime comes down to lack of leadership. This one will be no exception.

Once we have a solid hire in place and we're back on the recruiting trail, a lot of this so-called brokenness will be forgotten.

I'm talking about the administration, hiring recruiting assistants, QAs, facilities, all the dedication to winning stuff that we have never had.

Well, if we never had it, are we suddenly broken or were we broken from day one?

We've never been big spenders?

We've never had it. Paid well for SOS eventually, he was highest paid at one point, and paid Stoops well, but they are the exception. We've always been minimum wage for the assistants. We always had just the minimum GAs. At least since Fooley was hired, we've never invested in facilities.

While, Bianchi's revisionist "reporting" is true, in that, McElwain is the human embodiment of a dumpster fire full of :kiffin:... the man is still a giant twunt.

I inadvertently put a question mark behind my second graph. I've known all along we weren't willing to spend.
