Right now, they're just trying to stay in contact with kids already committed. There's no actual recruiting going on. And who would commit to a school with no coach, anyway?

He was in contact with the Gator Nation the moment he was born. But thank goodness a new staff is coming.

UF is never quick to offer. UF does not allow offers to people people who are have not presented enough evidence to UF that they will be admitted and be eligible. This has nothing to do with the current staff and will not change with the new staff.

You are completely deluding yourself if you think that UF's academic standards for offers, visits and signing athletes will change with a new staff. You must have followed UF football about 15 minutes.

Well, I started watching around 7 or 8....went to my first game in 1979. That's a long 15 minutes.

Our "standards" are sometimes a strain on our recruiting...but the problems w/ the last 3 years haven't been our admissions department. It's been our lazy, non-recruiting, half-assed coaching staff. If you disagree you must have been napping the last three years....

Well then you should know that one of the things we can NOT know about UF recruiting is whether the kid sent UF his transcript when requested. Besides that McElwain and crew are old news. They are irrelevant to recruiting the younger Smith. They are irrelevant to UF after one more game and maybe a bowl.
