Wasn't his dad on the committee that hired Stricklin back in 2016? Is he also on this one too (if there even is one, aside from AD staff)?
I'm hopefully optimistic. If this is a done deal and is announced tomorrow, then massive kudos to Stricklin, perfectly played by him. If it's not a done deal already - then he misplayed his hand quite a bit. Hope it's the former and we can all formally celebrate soon.

Yeah, he looks like a guy who just hit a homer run. If he flew up there w Fuchs and entourage only to get rebuffed, he would look like Butters after Meatchikin.Check out the reaction at the end when he says "lot of interest in the job"

Alright, Sherlock Jay on the case. Bear with me as I ramble about why I think Chip Kelly is announced tomorrow.
Clue #1
We flew our AD, Assistant AD, AND President up to NH on a Sunday night with a contract in hand. You don’t do that unless you have a verbal agreement (especially the contract part)
Clue #2
The notion that Chip hasn’t signed, along with the UCLA rumors, were started by none other than Robbie Andreu. Many have speculated that he is pushing the company line so UF can make the announcement on their own time/terms. He even went as far to send a follow up tweet saying Chip “MAY” want to meet with UCLA.
Clue #3
Players and recruits all sending a mass cryptic tweet. Could it be a huge coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not though
Clue #4
Son of an attorney on the UAA search committee broke news of Chip’s signing. This is a source in the know, and I highly doubt he’d offer that up if he wasn’t sure. Maybe I’m wrong and he’s about to get a beating from pops...

Stricklin’s demeanor through all of this. This is a guy who’s been sending cryptic tweets, snapping pics of himself in classrooms (when there’s speculation he’s flying to meet Chip), etc. He’s been acting strange for a guy in the midst of the biggest hire of his life....unless he already has his guy
Or this could all be crap and I’m a moron.

For God sakes, if Chip is as smart as we think he is, then he knows Florida is a way superior job than UCLA, he's got to be trying to strong arm us into offering more $$$. We better give him what he wants!
