In 2007 Bama went after Saban, he initially turned them away, then they offered Rick R., and he shockingly turned them down, then supposedly after taking a swing at Spurrier they took another shot at Saban and landed him. The rest is history. My only question will we make Chip an offer he can't refuse, like Bama did, or will we move on to the next Dollar store coach we can find?

2883 posts and I've read everyone of them. Every time a get caught up I'm too tired to post anything. I leave and come back and there's 10 more pages to read. Talk about an emotional rollercoaster! I went from depressed to "He's signed? I can't believe it's going to happen" to "UCLA, really?" to "SS really did look pretry happy getting off that plane" all in a 60 minutes. Y'all got to spread those emotions over an 11 hour period. I'm exhausted! Please, God, let this be over tomorrow morning!

If it turns out we took too long, will it turn out to be the result of interference from boosters, Foley, and perhaps even Spurrier, paranoia over the need to fully vet Kelly and everyone on his assistants list, or was Kelly slow playing us by putting up long lists of demands?
Even worse if it didn't work out, we did all the leg work for anyone who would look to hire him now.

Doubt it will be though, Chip is supposedly meeting with UCLA tomorrow. Wouldn't expect to hear anything till tomorrow night at the earliest, good or bad.
