I think we got him and some people in the media are putting out a smokescreen for the UAA so they can make the announcement on their terms. I hope this it true and if so, Stricklin did a great job. That being said, if I am wrong and we lose Chip Kelly to UCLA Stricklin needs to be held accountable. No way UAA people couldn't have been in NH on Friday night to get the deal done. It should have happened Friday considering the speculation that UCLA could fire Mora at any time and that Kelly could have interest in the job!!!
If you had a senior sales person on your staff that allowed something similar to happen and you lost the biggest contract available due to negligence (and it is negligence because we shouldn't have gone into Saturday's games knowing other programs could fire a coach after losing like we did) they would be looking for a new job before the ink dried on the UCLA contract...

I'm expecting someone we didn't expect at all and will have to google to get a real bio. Just feels that way now. They are so stuck in making sure that Randy has a spot on the staff that I think they are just going to settle for someone, maybe Taggert or Strong.
Diversity is strong with this University now, not that there is anything wrong with that. And before anyone calls me a racist, I'd just like to say that I am on board with any coach that can turn this team around and get us in the top tiers of CFB again and that can put an end to the embarrassment that has become Florida football.

To me, the most telling thing that the deal is done and the UAA just want to announce on their own terms is Andreu clarifying his tweet from Kelly "will" talk to UCLA to "may want to". Sounds like whoever told him to throw some smoke on this out there made sure it was changed to make sure no one would be accused of outright lying here. My guess is he is announced this morning and there will be much rejoicing in Gator Nation! Hope I'm right because I'm getting to damn old for this crap!

This! Couldn't agree more. Between this and Stricklands air of confidence in the video of them getting off the flight. I can't be sure it's not just my O&B glasses playing tricks on me, but I really think it's a smoke screen.

Guys, it's done. You don't tell the players and recruits that he is hired until it's done. They were clearly told. It's done. Just wait and let them pick their time to announce. Hell, our biggest recruit is begging them to announce what he already knows.

Clue #1
We flew our AD, Assistant AD, AND President up to NH on a Sunday night with a contract in hand. You don’t do that unless you have a verbal agreement (especially the contract part)
Clue #2
The notion that Chip hasn’t signed, along with the UCLA rumors, were started by none other than Robbie Andreu. Many have speculated that he is pushing the company line so UF can make the announcement on their own time/terms. He even went as far to send a follow up tweet saying Chip “MAY” want to meet with UCLA.
Clue #3
Players and recruits all sending a mass cryptic tweet. Could it be a huge coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not though

Son of an attorney on the UAA search committee broke news of Chip’s signing. This is a source in the know, and I highly doubt he’d offer that up if he wasn’t sure. Maybe I’m wrong and he’s about to get a beating from pops...

Normally scheduled 11:45AM presser moved up to 11:15AM out of the blue with no explanation. Wonder why?x2

Stricklin’s demeanor through all of this. This is a guy who’s been sending cryptic tweets, snapping pics of himself in classrooms (when there’s speculation he’s flying to meet Chip), etc. He’s been acting strange for a guy in the midst of the biggest hire of his life....unless he already has his guy
