If the deal is done, they need to announce it for a couple of reasons:
You are on a message board where you can’t have fun unless your hair’s on fire.I’m seeing contradicting tweets and backpedaling tweets, followed by several posts here that indicate fans are assuming every freakin tweet is the gospel truth... including preemptive “SS is screwing up the deal” posts to prepare for the onslaught that will follow if CK doesn’t sign.
1. We don’t truly know the facts behind what’s really taken place so far. I have no clue if SS is a genius or if he’s bumbling through this. Neither do any of you, regardless of what the son of a lawyer or other “reliable source” says to a friend of a friend of an old college roommate.
2. If foley were still the AD, CK would NEVER have gotten the phone call. Period.
3. If SS didn’t take the time to vet CK and we ended up on probation in 5 years, y’all would freak out that SS rushed the hiring process.
If CK doesn’t sign, at least give SS some credit for showing someto go after a big name and doing it the right way, to the best of his ability.

Agreed...but even if they announce it Kelly might not be around until after this weekend...obviously we have no idea how this is going to go but there could be a lot of reasons why this could last past this weekend even with a signed deal. Stricklin has been in contact with recruits and they can ease their mind through this upcoming visit weekend knowing Kelly is going to hit the ground running right after that.
No it's probably more like Stricklin knows those idiots will run with exactly what he tells them instead of actually doing any work through sources
