This may be in fact true....but let's say the deal is in fact inked. There has been a lot of rumor to that. Maybe, just maybe, Chip has enough integrity for the profession of coaching to request the announcement be delayed in order to provide the professional courtesy to the existing staff.
Ya know, I'd respect that. With no bowl game in the mix he's still announced before the early signing period with enough time to contact commits and key recruits.

Agreed. They knew days in advance. It didn’t stop kelly from telling Florida he wanted the job (he reached out and made it known He was interested and people close to him said he really wanted the Florida job as much as Florida wanted him) and having Florida fly up the freakin president to see him.

It would be an insane move to say no once they got there.

He signed.
I do hope you are right. You don't fly the prez up for a meet and greet.

Get this done. Once unsigned recruits bail it will be hard to get them back. There is zero benefit in stretching this out if he has indeed signed.

Lots of famous and very wealthy boosters coming out of UCLA. Money isn't a problem. For those of you who think why would he go to a lesser desirable program than Florida? Who was coaching at Oregon before CK? Probably can't remember without looking it up. A $10M buyout is nothing for those kind of boosters. 2nd largest TV market in US. Means lots of TV income for the school.......which in turn means lots of $$$$ for it's coach.

Why would they be making a market in a coach that is underdog when noone else is available? Get a ****** clue

Please enlighten me since I don't have a ****ing clue........don't worry I'll wait!! Please post your link that show the odds you refer to.

"Even odds" occur when the probability of an event happening is exactly the same as it not happening. In no way is CK "favored". It's even odds. What part of that do you not understand??

Frank Frangie: "I think Chip Kelly is coming to Florida. There's no point in Lynda Tealer being on that plane unless the deal is done. She's the contract person."

Stick to ass funneling, chief. Belotti was the head coach at Oregon before Chip, and they were decent , but not great. After Kelly took over, they started winning....a lot. In four seasons as the head coach at Oregon, he had twice as many BCS appearances as the Cousin Fkers had in the entire existence of the BCS.

ehh, not so much honestly. In sports gambling odds start out with whatever line vegas or whoever setting them thinks makes it even. But to a certain extent, once the initial line is set, the public tends to drive it to move. Doesn't matter what team is really better, all that matters is the public perception. If money comes in hard on one side, the odds will move. They could end up at a true "even" at some point, but that doesn't mean that the teams are evenly matched. I suspect this is similar with picking whos going to get which coaching job. But I could be wrong.

We’re ALL speculating. We don’t know shyt!

The only people that know anything are Stricklin, Dunn, Chip, Fuchs, and the Board of Trustees.

I haven't posted much in this thread for this very reason. I don't know for sure anything about this hire. I can guess and speculate off of unverified info, but that's the best I and most of us can do. My guess is that we will probably hire Kelly, and while him going to UCLA is possible, I think it is unlikely due to reasons mentioned earlier.

Kelly seems like the kind of guy that really thinks things through before making a big decision, and UF isn't going to rush into things because they know they need to get this hire right. This is a multimillion dollar deal, so I don't blame either party for taking their time making sure this deal and work relationship is right.

We will be at 200 pages in no time with no more of an indication as to whether or not he has accepted the job. Absurd!!!

I'll bet the farm on these two things:
1) It's not about money
2) He didn't sign

Chip has more money than a man with no family can spend.
I can't think of any example in history of a coach being signed and it not leaking out. Too many people would know.

No, you’re just another Knoxville d1p**** troll who doesn’t have a clue about anything. It’s one thing if you want to discuss, it’s another to just blatantly troll and not even know a fraction of what you’re talking about. It’s common knowledge everywhere but Knoxville who Chip Kelly’s predecessor was. I bet keeping a running count of how many pubes Peyton “five head” Manning has on a daily basis is a priority though.
