I said before and I will say it again. If we made arrangements to fly up there with a contract in hand, a contract that he previously agreed to and he didn't sign it, you have to move on. He is either 100% all Gator or not. The recruits, and they are important in all of this, can read through the BS and it will cost us some. Some of them will sign with Florida because they want to play at Florida but that will not cover the talent that this football program really needs.

Anybody catch this from Corral on Twitter late last night (on my phone so it only copies the text for some reason)? This would have been coming out of his visit with Bama. Good sign I imagine as long as it really is Kelly. To me, he's saying if we lock Kelly down, he is 100% gator.

"JUST DO IT ALREADY... "

So, the schools entire top brass flies 3 hours to where ever to sign the deal. That can only mean they agreed to the last detail of the contract and made arrangements to fly up there and finalize it. No way they left there with everything still undone....right?
Guess that's the million dollar question. Depends on on of the thousand Twitter feeds ya follow.

@finebaum: .@buddyshow says Florida is close to hiring Chip Kelly as its new Head Coach...

"Florida has moved the ball down the field to the 2 yard line. Can they punch it in the end zone?"

Stressing this part: Fuchs flew up as a congratulatory gesture by Florida. A welcome to the family type and for him to meet the people he could talk to directly.

We’re all human, so think about how pissed you’d be if you got there and he said nah not right now.

We either move on or he’s signed. I don’t see another option
So ... seems like those with their ears to the ground should be seeing movement by the UAA towards other options if it wasn't signed. Anyone seeing any movement?

Sounds like CK is a very personal man with not a lot to say off the field. Maybe UF sent too many people there to make the offer. Trust is a big thing when it comes to this type of selling job. Maybe if he didn't like something one of them said, or didn't come across the way it was intended. It's sometimes when a man is attracted to a beautiful woman....until she opens her mouth.

Dude ... you are a douche. I can't wait to see the nickel and dime guy UT hires.

The principals aren’t meeting unless the surrogates have an agreement. CK isn’t going to say to Fuchs, “Hey Kent, about those drapes....” Fuchs isn’t checking out CK’s personal hygiene. A meeting at this level without an agreement has the potential to embarrass everyone in the room.

No one is considering we went up there to interview him? I would. CK has baggage, and Fuchs, even though I am not enamored with him, is not going to let this hire take place unless he has confidence CK is going to keep the program clean.

No. The interview was over prior to the brass taking the contract trip...I think.

You mean they might want to interview the face of their program who they are going to pay roughly $6 million a year face to face..... nooooo.... that's just too logical Augusta... you need to hop back on the crazy train.

Believe that already happened. After the aTm loss the N100FG went up to NH.

Plane could fly up there a dozen times, if the people who don't make the decisions aren't on them. With out SS and Fuchs, who cares who went up there. They are the ones signing the check.
