If true, why would we allow an out-clause? That doesn’t make any sense.
I don't have any clue why we didn't want to finish the deal immediately. and yet all sources suggest that we didn't want anyone in place before Sunday.

One minute I think he's coming. The next I don't. This back and forth on Kelly is hurting my neck. Ping-pong. Ping-pong.

If he wanted an out clause then **** him. If he does not 100% want a job like Florida then **** him.

We are not bridesmaids. We are the bride. You either want it or you don’t. IF THIS IS TRUE, we should tear it up and walk away.

Because he's Chip Kelly and he asked for it.

I’m not so sure. On the surface that may seem understandable, but I would never do that type of deal and place all of the risk back on the university. I still find it hard to believe that Fuchs was on that plane for a “sell” meeting or a face to face meet and greet. It seems unrealistic given the egos of University Presidents.

no, I'm just a dude it's maxed out every logic test I've ever taken.
... and they said you can keep the tests you've taken just give back the answer sheets.

Agreed
The minute FSU is over I want Nord, Nuss and crew out of the building. I bet their offices are already packed. If not I am happy to come up today and expediate the process.
... and Pablo, you got exterminators at their door come that Monday. (knock. knock. Land Sharks)

Adam Rittenberg ESPN Staff Writer
Former Oregon coach Mike Bellotti to ESPN.com on Chip Kelly's decision: "If he has a choice between UCLA and Florida, I think he would take Florida. They're both good jobs, but UCLA has fired every coach since Terry Donahue. People think he's got the success on the West Coast, but the reality is he's an East Coast guy. ... UCLA is a very good job. I'm not sure I could say it's a great job."

Suppose the hangup with Kelly is the money? How much is enough...how much is too much?
Does it make sense to buy a Lamborghin if we can go just as fast in a Porche.. especially if said Lamborguini will maybe be just a 2-3 lease. Meanwhile we have thrown alot of money at something hoping for a long term solution and instead end up in turmoil once again.
Kelly would be a wonderful fix, just would hope it would be for an extended time....but not real confident with him for now and I sure don't want to see the school take a big hit financially trying to get that Lamborguini.

So now we have some insight into Kelly and perhaps why two NFL teams let him go due to character issues...

He's as true a free agent as we've ever dealt with, even more than Meyer. We better get used to the idea that we'll be living on constant pins and needles if he becomes our coach.

I mean this leaves such a bad taste in my mouth. You make us vet coaches for weeks? You make us draw up language for you to get paid all your money? And then you want to think about it with UCLA BEING THE SECOND OPTION? They won’t and can’t give what we were told he wanted.

If this is true walk away. I don’t want him.

No. You don’t sign someone to a deal with a chance to back out and listen to other options

Although true, I would hope that UF placed a clause in the contract to limit the possibility of him bailing at the first opportunity. Who knows, that may be the sticking point.
