This is pathetic... MFer should want this job... Now we are trying to "convince" him to "choose" UF over UCLA... JFC, move on
Main difference in my eyes is we usually go after the up and coming coach not the proven commodity. Rules are a little different.

If he wanted an out clause then **** him. If he does not 100% want a job like Florida then **** him.

We are not bridesmaids. We are the bride. You either want it or you don’t. IF THIS IS TRUE, we should tear it up and walk away.
I’ve been to some weddings where the bridesmaids were MUCH more desirable than the bride. Just sayin’.

not really... If a coach doesn't buy in why have him?
because coaches don't commit to schools, players do.

Look, if you aren't willing to play the game required of bringing in a coach like Kelly, then don't, and we'll end up with what we deserve, another butters.

No way in hell he accepts the UCLA job unless we royally f'd up that meeting sun night. From the people i've spoken with and everything i've gathered from the 2 guys i know who are connected Chip Kelly will be our HC by next Mon. All these bullsh*t articles that will be pumped out over the next few days regarding UCLA are nothing but clickbait so scroll on. We have our guy and we'll be dragging folks ass again real soon :chomp:

Btw...i want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and safe travels to all!

Is this booster going to fork over his fortune to pay chip? No.

They still don’t have the money we do

He might, and what makes you think we have more money than any large program? In fact I think we have less. If I was a billionaire and had cash we would have those new facilities sooner.

Have you read our contracts .... chumps?
 please find me a multi million dollar contract with wording that if you sign, you can back out any day without penalty. There’s a reason they’re drawn up by lawyers, with wording protecting the company/institution. Zero percent chance we let him sign and then change his mind. He didn’t sign anything.

Chip isn't signed, why would his agent let me sign before black Monday... if an agent did, that agent should be fired.

We made almost 60 mil more than UCLA did last year. And football isn’t their money magnet.

What specifically would you think is required to bring in Kelly, include the dollars and where you think it might come from. Be very specific.

Now Mac should have worked out, he was not properly managed in my view.

His stupid news conferences, his insistence that he would get it fixed, his insistence that he keep his ineffective staff. His boss should not have allowed him to behave as he did. Blame Foley for that and I am 100% on board.

I don't think we f*cked up anything. I think we were above board with the guy and made a great offer. I think Kelly's using his position of power and prestige and now leverage to lengthen the process, which makes it look as though we're being strung along when in fact there's little we can do to change the process.

Link??? and did we not spend all that money? And don't we want to spend a lot more? We have a proper cap on debt of 100M no going over that, and that very rich person might be paying.

We don't know if we have more money, I doubt that we do.

it's not about a specific dollar amount, but the willingness to negotiate and to beat out opposition in a battle for a top coach.

Expecting a coach to just be all in and disregard him doing what is in his own best interest (i.e. getting whatever he can from a deal) is foolish.

It's out there, Chief. It's fact we way outstrip them in revenue.
