I have only heard Kelly himself say on ESPN that whoever gets the Florida job would be “lucky”.

His words.

He said SOS and Urban had tremendous national success. If that what drives him and he can take the pressure of a big time job...he’s coming. If he wants to go to a place with a little less pressure and a chance to maybe have success on a national level...then UCLA it is.

I have a feeling his drive and ego will bring him to the good guys.

I also suspect that there is some type of “agreement” in place, but both sides have to be careful to not get into a contractual dispute with the 49ers. If all of that nonsense is true. Having the narrative that he hasn’t decided yet would support that.

I really think that the team we sent to NH (including the freakin’ Fuchs) is serious. I find it hard to believe Kelly or UF would let it get that far is he wasn’t sold on taking the job. This was the “look him in the eye” moment that Stricklin alluded to at his PC.

Maybe we are being played...but I have my doubts.

I also get the feeling that Stricklin is a major troll and is enjoying effin’ with the press and the message boards.

First off ... how is Stricklin trolling anyone. He hasn't said or done anything since the tweet of him in the classroom (with that beauty in pink and white stripes up front... sigh).

Second ... I think the player that tweeted he wants UF to hire the coach so he can do his official is a huge tell.

bingo...if our admin isn't willing to do what it takes to reel in the top coaches, then we don't deserve them.
This nonsense that a coach has to commit to a school is just that, nonsense.
Identify your guy, then do what you have to, to get him.

BUT... not at all cost.... for God's sake

I realize we’re all on social media, but who are these people who have the time and energy to knowingly put out false information, fake accounts, etc?
I can't believe how many people are taking this Heitner guy seriously...just some random twitter guy nobody ever heard of and now people are hanging on his every tweet

Since we're all speculating anyway, if what you suspect is true, then it would be in the best interest of Kelly and UF to allow for the staging of a show where Kelly has talks with other schools until he finally pulls the trigger and picks UF AFTER whatever contractual deadline passes for Kelly to be released from his SF contract (or earn a date specific bonus as has been rumored). If that turns out to be the reason that the announcement for UF has been delayed, then Stricklin and Kelly will have handled this whole thing perfectly. It would be awesome if it turns out that they were in lock-step on this all along until Kelly could declare he chose UF. In this environment of conspiracy theories and guesswork, I like this story the best.
