Hesitated to post anything from what I’ve heard over the last few days because there is so much information out there and I know a lot of it is misinformation and misdirection. Still from what I’ve heard today from a few really good sources including coaches who coached with Chip in the past as well people in the agency, I think Chip to UCLA looks very probable, to the point where it would now be considered a surprise if he goes anywhere else.

I never use the word ‘lock’ in recruiting and won’t use it here either but it sounds like things would have to fall apart and collapse in a huge way for this not get finalized. It’s past the point of talking about coaching salary’s, living arrangements and practice times and things have even progressed to the point where I heard the current roster is already being evaluated.

There had been informal talks between both party’s but from what I was told, Chip refused to talk to anyone at UCLA as long as Mora was still employed, which is why he was let go before the Cal game. They either had to move quick or risk losing him to Florida. Things were pretty far along with Florida at the time but UCLA had already been in discussions behind the scenes and it can’t be overstated enough how huge Dunn and Wasserman’s relationship played a role in this with the UCLA connection. Sounds like Wasserman was really the point person on this entire deal.

Reddit and 24/7 sources... like, the same kinda sources the chip to UF stuff came from. I wonder if this info will be proselytized like the other was?

So that goes against everything Dunn believes when he took Armstrong off the case, And he's evaluated a roster in 3 days

I'm gonna say this for what its worth (which probably isnt worth the empty milwaukees best beer can in my hand) if Chip goes to UCLA then it proves this guy is scared of the SEC. Scared of the competition he will face year in, year out. Scared of a little pressure. Fine then, go to the easier road and build a legacy at a "who gives a sh*t" program.

It’s going to be so embarrassing on a national level when he chooses UCLA over us. UF again just sitting there with our collective dicks in our hand.

Not to mention the **** I’m going to get from Nole, Bama and UCF friends after I’ve been gloating for about a week now about Chip.

I expect 1000+ before it's all said and done. This place will be a madhouse of speculation between Friday and Tuesday, and then it'll get even wilder once Tuesday arrives and no Chip Kelly announcement has been made.
I'm afraid we'll lose some to exhaustion.

For what it is worth. I would guess that CK frind Phil Knight has a vested interest in him coaching the Bruins. Opens the door damn wide for NIKE to take over the program. Just saying. Follow the money you do not see.

Don't shoot the messenger. :D

According to Frank Frangie:

After speaking to certain people,

1. Chip has spoken to 2 coordinators about going to UCLA. That is a fact.

2. Mike Belotti said he had to practically drag Chip from the OC job at New Hampshire to Oregon. Comfort is the most important thing to him. If not for Belotti's constant prodding, he'd never have left New Hampshire for the OC job at Oregon.

Those are facts.

Now Frangie's thoughts. He'd be shocked if he took the UF job. The contract is not signed. Chip knows the LA area. He knows the recruiting there. He knows the coaches. It is comfortable.

Facts? I think not.... Chip Kelly is the next Gator HC.

There is so much drama and storylines here you could make a made for TV movie once it is done. Eats Coast v. West Coast. Gators v. Bruins. Nike v. Under Armour. Midnight plane rides. Heated negotiations...... The Tale of Two Programs in Love, coming January 2018 only on HBO.

Chip's gonna do what he thinks is in his best interest, not ours. We may have given him the best pitch ever (no one knows what was discussed or even offered up in NH, except the people that were there), and he STILL may not take it, because he feels that he wants to go in a different direction (and our $$ offer could still be better than UCLA's, who knows?), and there's not a damned thing we can do about it. And we also cannot say our AD/Pres/etc did anything wrong because we just don't know. Maybe he NEVER wanted to come to UF and he's been just stringing us along the whole time. Who knows (besides "insiders")?
