I haven't conceded yet. I think we're still at play with Kelly.

But I do understand the frustration.

So Mike Hill and Lynda Tealer f*cked this up but Stricklin didn't. Okay.
I'm talking about the status of the program and facilities in general.

They should have been fired when Fooley was invited to retire.

They're yes people, which is what you probably find in most athletic departments. Which is why Stricklin's position is so important. Is he autonomous or not? That's the question.

We got played like a fiddle. As someone else said, we were Kelly's leverage.

You guys can say whatever you want, but we didn't put Fuchs on a plane to go for a coffee date and chat with Kelly. We swung and missed. All of these increasingly elaborate and ridiculous scenarios were just delusional attempts to explain the lack of an announcement.

Do not sell UCF short. Building some meaningful alums. The aerospace industry is loaded with them and a TON of wealthy kids are going, have been for a while, because UF wanted elite out of state and foreign kids for the higher tuition. Our academic recruiting has been counter to building a sports oriented community at UF the last ten years.
Truth.... 80% of grad students are out of state or international, mostly Chinese and Indian.

I'm cancelling Christmas if we don't get him or Frost.

You do realize Foley wasn’t fired, wasn’t asked to step down, not even close, right?
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. He was just resigning so he could spend more time interviewing for conference commish jobs, bc he was the GOAT and a shooin as the SEC Commish.

sure they are, but they are no where near being able to pay that kind of money annually to a football coach.

Hell, they can't even build a real stadium, nor get people to show up when they have one of the best offenses in the country.

in 20+ years, UCF could be a force...but they aren't today

A lot of good points, but a couple of disagreements. When you negotiate and even change construction plans and then drag the president to New Hampshire, you have done all you can to hire ck. It is then up to him. You forced UCLA to fire their coach before they were ready. Congratulate SS on having gone after the hard one and move on
. Also, even if we don't hire Kelly or Frost, we can greatly improve our FB product. A number of solid coaches could make us competitive again.
Spin it however you want, but if we don't hire CK or SF then Stricklin failed. It's possible that he did everything possible, and both turned him down, but that doesn't change the fact that it will be a failure.

If your star QB gets knocked out of a championship game and you lose, you were still in charge and you still lost. Trying to explain away a failure is called excuses.

SS either hires Kelly or Frost, otherwise it is nothing but failure and excuses.

He's f*cked up plenty on football hires, esp through the 20/20 lens now, but no way was he dismissed. Heck, there wasn't even a consensus on Mac at the time he left.

Undergrad yes, graduate, at least law school is better. However, tons of Noles that are more into their undergraduate school than the one they go to currently (or went to for graduate school)

Local media already turned against Chip?

@GrahamHall_: Of the countless things I've read about Chip Kelly over the past 2 weeks, this passage from the Washington Post continues to re-enter my mind more than any other personal anecdote about him. #Gators
