Just in case Kelly doesn’t choose us (signed contact truthers don’t need to read any further):

I just looked at the AAC standings and realized that Charlie Strong can do us a solid by ending UCF’s season a week earlier than I was anticipating. Now I am conflicted on who to cheer for on Friday.

What if we beat FSU and immediately after the game chip Kelly ran out on the field carrying a gator flag? Someone would end up pregnant that night

Even if Chip wasnt being considered, Strong is not on the list.

BNA deleted his post. The Frangie story he linked to is a good one. Frangie is saying as many others have said that Kelly is a super-deliberate thinker and that it ultimately comes down to the familiarity of LA and the Pac-12 versus the fertile ground of Florida and that, knowing Kelly as he does, he predicts the former wins out.

As someone who’s listened to this guy on the radio on & off for the last 20 or so years, I can attest that Frank Frangie is usually wrong about everything.

You would know being a Jaxvillian. Haven't read much of his stuff. He does cite a lot of Kelly decisionmaking history, though, in making his case.

I'll second that. The only guy worth a flip is David Lamm. He's a grumpy old goat. But on the rare occasions when he offers an opinion he is usually right.

We should pool our money and put a hit on him just in case.

Try to divorce yourself from your Texas bias toward Strong. How does UCF lose to USF in a vacuum? More to the point, how does it not impact Florida's thinking on Strong?

How do they lose? Easy... because sports.

Second question, because one game shouldn’t change the thinking on Frost’s body of work (or Charlie’s)

Now weigh that against the game being at UCF, Florida's long history with Strong and the possibility that Frost is non-committal at the end of the season.

I'm not endorsing Strong over Frost. I'm trying to position this in the lens Florida looks through.
