The QB situation certainly needs to be addressed unless he can work miracles with Franks. A lot of the blame is on the coaching staff but Franks would do mess any decent QB would have sense not to do even with bad coaching.

The schedule is favorable. I guess depending on who is still here on the roster and with the East being so down except for Georgia that 8 to 9 wins is actually possible. On paper we should be better than any other East team besides Georgia.

Is there any chance at all that Mullen develops Franks into a competent QB? FF has the physical tools, and Mullen's offense doesn't appear to require as much of its QB in terms of reading defenses. Wishful thinking?

Look, it isnt about wins next year. I dont think any offense would really work well with what we have but the Q Power is probably the one that works the least.

Number of wins isnt important. What is important is:
Strength and conditioning. It is about fvkking time defense especially put on some mass. Maybe they will get embarrased less often.

Player development: it would be nice to look like we actually practice this **** some.

Recruiting recruiting recruiting. There will probably be some blips this class but top 10 is about the worst it should ever be. Lets hope we see a top3-5 next year if he is worth his salt.
Nailed it except:

Must beat the Leghumpers.

You can never say 100% but Franks comes off to me like he would probably struggle at times even with reading the DE properly on those option plays. I remember Driskel screwing that up quite a few times under Roper.

I will say this, I think Driskel was already burnt out by Muschamp and roper being the 4th offense (Adazzio, Weis, Pease, Roper) he had had to learn at UF at the time. He needed a change in the worst way. He was never going to be an SEC QB, and the skill positions didn't help him at all. But by the time Roper got here, Driskel was past damaged goods.

The QB situation is dire. I can't be to critical next year if the offense is still struggling because I just have no idea where DM can find a QB to run his offense. Now if he somehow manages to make FF avg and we can put up and avg of 25 a game, then I'd say 7-8 wins.

Amazing that UF fired a coach that had a .647 winning percentage at Florida , for a coach that had a .600 percentage at Miss. State.

Amazing how a terrible offense and **** recruiting can take a coach from winning the SEC East with the previous coach's players to only winning 4 game and that was really just 2 minus the 2 miracles lol

I'm just wondering what Mullen's excuse would be to that scenario

Must wins: Charleston Southern, UK, CSU, Vandy, Idaho
Should Win: UTenn, MSU, USC
50/50: Mizzou
Could Win: LSU, UGA, FSU

So if we say the "must wins" are automatic that's 5 wins, probably drop one of three of the "should wins" so that's 2 more, "50/50" is just that so say 0 or 1, and probably only wins one of 3 of the "could wins" so that's another win so reasonable expectation is 8-9 wins.
