Nice analysis. That's prolly about what a lot of knowledgeable posters on this board are worried, I think.

BTW, did you work with 2222?

Mullen needs Corral in for those pass plays. Our recievers will need better hands and the heart to fight for the ball.
Dual threat doesn't mean run when passing is needed.

I'm not insider and you *******s are my only sources but I've got a opinion to what is going on with Corral. Does anyone think that maybe just maybe Mullen has looked at our current roster and realized that we have zero capable qb's on it right now? I assume his conversation with Corral went something like this

Dan - Hey son, we've got **** for qb's right now, I really want you in this class but we need to take 2 qb's this year to try and work ourselves out this hole butters left us in.

Matt- Yes sir, completely understand. Can you believe that Del Rio has started games there the past 2 years?

Dan- :headslap:I know son, but there's a new boss in town and that **** is over with. But like I said, were taking 2 qb's in this class including our excluding you, if need be take a little time to make sure your ok with that. Go see some other places but at the end of the day we all know your going to be a Gator.

Matt- Yes sir, see you in Jan.

Sorry. Mullen only struggled against good teams because he was at MSU. What the hell. Do you expect him to walk on water? Saban couldn't have done any better.

Have to admit I din't watch many MSU games in the last nine years... okay that's a lie, I didn't watch any MSU games in the last nine years but fortunately there's this thing called youtube and you can watch offense only plays for yourself and don't have to rely on a keyboard kowboy telling you what the offense is like. If you have any fear of Mullen not having a vertical passing game watch this game:

That's just one game but the other's weren't all QB up the middle and dive plays either. I think we'll be fine with whoever the QB is.

MT, I like you, but you have spent all 83 of your posts finger-wagging at others. Do you have any other arrows in your quiver?

I’m honred I be called out by Ox. It’s just too easy and the baseless posts that are designed just to do nothing but complain and moan should be called out. However, I understand what you are saying, although I think “all 83” is exaggerated, maybe 73, but I will do my part. After all, if I’m just complaining about the complainers I’m doing the same thing.

He's 2 years removed from HS and still only 205. Sounds like he's a little on the small side from what we're expecting.

By the way, I liked the comparison of Corral to Alex Smith. He's actually bigger than Smith I would think but moves and throws like him.

Seriously, if Mullinz can't figure out a way to run his offense with a kid like Corral I don't know what to think. We're going to need one helluva defense I have a feeling.

Alex Smith is a bigger guy. Corral reminds me of Baker Mayfield. He's a good, not great, runner. But, he's a great playmaker and similar size in HS.

You're a good guy. 90% of the complaining about Mullen, including by me, happened on that first day. It has slowed down considerably and several people have reversed their positions.

I didn't realize he was as tall as he is listed. He still looks like a smaller guy when he's out there and doesn't take many hits like Mullen's other QB's.

Here's the funny thing... no analysis on earth is going to change the fact DM is now the Gator HC. If by the end of the 2nd year, I don't see better physical representation, some semblance of team performance peaking as the season progresses, an interested-involved attitude on the side lines, getting a better share of 4-5 stars that is more balanced, need based, eye toward all position depth... then I'll join the burn the HC at the stake pessimist crowd again. For now, I'm going with better tools and an acknowledgement of what is expected at Florida leads to a better HC plan and his personal goal for success fulfillment. We'll monitor DM's long off season moves for comment, but I'm resistant to running him over with the bus until I see his "Florida" product on the field. It's not like I've put my torch and pitch fork in the attic, but they're not at my bedside right now. Go Gators! ;)
