I think Mullen is probably the #4 or #5 coach in the SEC. Wasn't happy with the hire though I do think he will do better than Mac. I just really wanted Frost as I feel like he was the home run hire. I guess we had no real chance there. Can't do anything but support Mullen and hope he puts together than that goof he replaced. I like the fact that he cleaned house for the most part.

Add Cristobal to Oregon. That’s an A hire.

Interesting. But I am reminded of two things. First: at the beginning of the year McElwain was rated as the second best coach in the SEC after Saban. Second: most people rated Taggart as an A hire for Oregon last year and he didn't make it there a full calendar year.

I don't put a lot of stock in grading hires at this point. Lightning could strike with Mullen and the Gators could improve a lot. Scott Frost's star might not be so shiny after a year in Lincoln. Point being: In December 2018 we can sit down and grade them.

Weird - we are an A- and MSU and FSU are right behind with a "B". Seems like their grading system is out of whack.

Nobody else has proven anything. Champ, freeze Jr, Moorhead, Pruitt, Morris, ogeron all in bottom tier. But for the bottom tier that ain't horrible.

Less talented DC for sure. But as HC? Lots of less talented DCs have made better HCs that Muschamp.
