Florida takes on Cincinnati at 6 PM EST on ESPN2 in the Never Forget Tribute Classic. This will be the 5th straight quality opponent in the brutal part of our out of conference schedule. We need to wake the hell up and find some toughness. Cincinnati will be bringing it, so we need to be ready, focused, and play with passion and heart!!!!!!!!

THis is the strangest start I have ever witnessed in my (beginning with Neal Walk and Andy Owens) gator basketball watching career. The idea is to be playing your best ball by Feb. Hell, it looked amazing in Nov. Playing Duke that well so early without the post presence was a mind blower. I honestly thought this team was top five easily. Now we seem like a bubble team. When the 04s hit a scoring drought so did the other team. But when you have Noah and Horford back with Corey's quickness out there and very smart tough guards like Green and Hump it is a given. These boys have the athletic ability to play good def. Do they have the mental toughness to bring it all the time? My brother says they aint talking to each other out there. A void in leadership. We need to have 10 guys ready to go hard the whole time when HE gets back on the court. Just try to get better each game or week. Watching this team shoot FTs before the crash and burn made me real confident cause it meant they had it. I guess not. Maybe Egor has hurt the chemistry with his jack it up mentality. It was good as long as the shots fell but they have to fall. All I know is if the baseball team plays poorly too GOD is frowning on the gators and Gville........... we need some body to blame.............many of yall are great at that so get crackin...........

We have the branches, we need the tree trunk in the middle. The thick kid for Loyola killed us the other night.

Gotta make shots. We have shot so poorly the past couple of games after such a hot start. We are missing a ton of very make able and wide open shots. Need good ball movement to keep the defense off balance. I don't expect us to win this game but anything can happen if we can make shots and 3s. This will be a very pro Cinci crowd so everything is against us once again. Go Gators!!

Went to the game against the Holes on Monday; the play that epitomized pretty much the entire game was when Gak, who is 8' tall, somehow gets stuck on the perimeter guarding F$U's 5' point guard, and the kid jacks a trey right in Gak's face. WTF??

I thought White, or possibly the whole team, took an Ambien before the game. I don't recall seeing any passion or fire from him the entire night.

If we lose to Cincy we will be struggling to make the tourney probably. The SEC is decent this season. I cant believe how bad this team has looked the past 2 games after the start it had.

Not the same team as I watched out West. f$u exposed our size deficit, after that :dunno:.

This game needs to be where this team starts anew. Start setting up easy shots and make them - no rim-clangs. Get inside position and offensive rebound put-backs - don't even bring it down, make their inside men foul you. That's the "playing tough" that other teams are putting on you. Outside shooters, get squared up & balanced before shooting.

Finally, in times of need, coach White - Do Something!

Our shooting was horrid that last game.

I see the media is jumping on us like sharks now saying we just aren't physical and our defense isn't that good.

The guy has a 8 inch vertical jump. He played well, but missing all of our 3's is what killed us. If we find our shot today we have a good chance, keep shooting like we have been and it will be a long night.

Defense, toughness, hustle all important but they aren't going to make up for not hitting a 3 in the last 10 minutes of the Duke game, shooting 24% from 3 against SOW, and 10.5 % against Loyola Chicago.

Like it or not, we are dependent on 3 point shooting to win except against very bad teams. Luckily we should be a very good 3 shooting team, but haven't been for the last 5 halves of BB, and it's no coincidence that we haven't won since we hit this shooting slump.
