This really sucks the big one. I don't get it. I know it's a great program....but he's from Florida and the school is in freaking Ohio! I live in the DC area and the winter here is miserable! I can't imagine going up there. WTF? He chose to play for Meyer...or he could have played for Meyer's top, most successful assistant at Florida - his home state. I don't get it...

I think it’s because, mainly, we were so late in the process. To my understanding, he didn’t like Mac at all and by the time Mullen came in, he was in another direction.

UT just signed an unranked WR. Would be strange if they were confident in landing Copeland.

WTF

@DavidFurones_: Nesta Silvera on Chucky doll: “I understand it’s [a Gators tradition]. I’m starting it as a Hurricane tradition. I ain’t worried about the Gators no more... I ain’t flipping nothing. It’s mine now. I don’t care about UF.” @NJS_ERA

Never heard anything about the Chucky doll being associated with UF. That boy's out of his element. Only Gators are qualified to talk about Gator traditions.

I get that. But he could have also gone to FSU, UGA, Alabama, Clemson, or Miami...teams that usually win more than 4 games and often play in the CFP. I don't get it. If he was from Pennsylvania, or Maryland, or Michigan, or some other state besides Florida...I'd get it.

Urban is the king of recruiting man. And only soft bodies worry about the weather.

The one constant with Saban disciples is their ability to talk talented offensive high schoolers into making terrible decisions. Going to a team with a defensive minded, first time HC, with a highly questionable QB situation would really be par for the course. Hopefully not though.

Honestly, Miami is the worst place for him to land. He already has a rep for not putting out 100% effort. Being at home with all of his bong ripping friends along with weak ass Richt is not going to help the man.

I lived in upstate Indiana for three years. I was ready to commit suicide when I left from how miserable the weather was.

I live in Chicago..been here 6 years now...so this is my 7th winter....in the past week we have gotten about 8 inches of snow....had to wear boots to work and bring my dress shoes to change into. Last week it got to 40 degrees and I wore a tee-shirt! At least in Chicago, we have great restaurants, museums, Wrigley, etc....friggin Columbus has a zoo....ohio is dreadful.

Didn't it start with Dominique Easley for us?
I've got a very vague memory of that, I think, now that you mention it. Have any other guys that signed with us done that since? Would anyone here call that a tradition?

Chicago is a great city. Just to damn expensive in Illinois.

Yes. And I for one am ok with it going away. As was mentioned above, we also temporarily had the chain "tradition". But at least then we were winning titles. The "chucky" will forever be associated with great defensive line performances in 6-7 win seasons. No thanks.

Amen. All that stupid gimmick crap is just that. Crap. Who needs it? You don't see that with traditionally winning programs. It promotes self over team and team accomplishments.

All those other teams can keep their hammers, or dolls, or idiotic ghetto pimp chains. I'd prefer to just keep titles.

I get were you're coming from; it's frustrating as hell. I was going to say it's not like we're Mizzou who has watched the good players from their state go elsewhere, that seems understandable, but then they did curbstomp us, so maybe it's more 4-7 and new staff.

And now nearly everyone is picking Boykin to Virginia. Massive whiff for Florida if that is what happens. Massive.
