What if he thinks it's funny?
That's my point. It is funny. Funny as sh!t. Crack that joke as often as appropriate. BUT also cultivate other images for us to project on him. ButterTeeth was terrible. I hated that characterization while I was still rooting for him. I thought we were shooting ourselves in the foot making so much fun of our guy. I'm all for making fun of losers, but at least allow for the possibilities. Or you're just an AZZ.

Just now finally able to get back on. Sorry for cursing you earlier. I overreacted a little. We got some decent peices in this class but , came up short at DT and was beaten out by freakin Virginia for a recruit. I'm gonna give it a B- . I think we should hold the same standard as uga and fsu for transition classes but obviously some of you don't . But it was nice to beat saban out of a couple.
I was a little upset about the DL class, but we'll be okay next year. Our player average is higher than FSU's without our transfers. We got a stud QB, they didn't. We addressed most of our needs, they didn't do a good job.

But here's the rub, we had two highly rated WR transfers. I looked them up both and matched them to their counterpart in this class by their number rating, not the actual ranking. Grimes matched to Radley-Hiles and Jefferson matched to Tuli Letuligasenoa. I plugged those guys in and that put our class rank rating at 271.24, which is good enough for #10 and ahead of the Noles.

We didn't pull in an elite class, but when you account for the transfers, we had a higher ranked class, with much higher GPA. This would rate as #10 on 247. We hit all of out needs, for the most part. This really is a nice class. Not elite, but a nice class with potential for a lot of contributors. And our walk-on QB may actually have skills to pass some QB's on the chart.

Very well stated.

4 offensive linemen, three of whom are out of state

2 big four star DBs

a QB lots of rivals wanted

a bama legacy DE

including the two transfers - 4 tall four star WRs with high potential

2 excellent RBs - both out of state

2 four star LBs

2 big TEs

#2 kicker

four star athlete in Burney

a walk on qb with smarts and interesting numbers who could play

pretty good under the circumstances. best transition class.

Another poster that nails it. Way to lay it out.

Someone called out an older poster for taking exception to the attacks on the mother. I’m an older guy and I didn’t like it as well. Just like I don’t like personal attacks on our coaches or players. But our generation may have been raised differently. I’m slowly coming to understand that the younger guys prefer the trash talk and maybe don’t mean it in the same way we interpret it. Pops taught me to call a man by his name. I think a lot of the young dudes were taught the value of the “dis”. It’s like another arrow in their quiver.

Just don’t let a young teenage athlete talk trash online....THEY will be labeled as thugs, immature, hood rats, someone to stay away from, etc. Not sure how they are any different than online commandos?

I'm ancient and I agree. It's OK to think it. It's not OK to say it. This kid, is now part of the Gator family. So are his parents. Let the rest of the world laugh if they want. It's our job in a public forum to support them. "We are the boys" and all that good stuff.

Smart’s transition class was ranked 9th. Taggart’s is 9th, at least for now.

Factor in the two transfers and we’re right there. Take them out, and we’re still in the ballpark, with a better star average (3.78) than both of their first classes.

Dan Mullen walked in the door, put on his track shoes and hit the street running. He injected some positive vibes into the Gator Nation. Energized us and the players. Demonstrated his willingness to work his azz off and insist his staff do the same. Fought like the 3rd monkey trying to board the ark and came away with a QB, solid RB’s and WR’s and addressed needs as best he could. Now they start coaching. I have to believe he will approach this the same way. Nose to the grinder and high expectations.

I don’t know how good this is going to turn out but I truly believe the staff won’t be outworked and that just has to rub off on the players. I just like where we are at right now.

One last post before hitting the rack.

I don’t give a sh!t what UGA or FSU did this cycle.

While it is true that teams that win the NC have pulled top classes it is not true that every team that pulls top classes will win the NC.

These two are more than proof of this. Nobody has done less with more over the past 40 years than these 2 underachievers.

F them both. Wish we would stop talking so glowingly about their recruiting success. They ain’t sh!t.

Copeland to his mother, "Ma, whatcha gonna do if I pick Florida?"
Mom, "Probably Run the heck out of there before I scream, 'God, No, Jesus.' on live TV."
Copeland, "You know I love you mom. I think you'd look so good in Blue."
Mom to herself, "Please Lord, let it Bama. Or Tennessee at the very least."

Imagine if your son decides to go to UGA or FSU? Half of you would probably shoot yourselves.
I will raise my son to be smarter than that, so it’ll never be a concern.

That's a tough one. I love the Cousin Eddie angle. I had a Cousin Eddie Avatar. Keep the jokes coming, but for God's sake show some Respect. And give the new coach a chance. If we start off ruthlessly making fun of our own guy, what's the point. Opposing Fans don't even have to think up their own jokes and insults. We provide them for them. Even before CDM's first ****ing game. The dude has earned some Gator Nation Love by his performance since hiring.
I’m buying white shoes to wear. What you got?

I think the entire thing was a set-up. They all had either Bamma or UToothless colors on. None of the family had Gator colors on. He's just having fun. He's got a little Trump in him.
