It's certainly the final nail in the coffin of the Harbaugh regime, which will end soon as he flees back to the NFL. I'm chuckling at those who predicted Harbaugh would dominate the conference and make Urban quit again.

I admit I thought he would be killing it by now. Big year for him. I am surprised.

@BruceFeldmanCFB: Updating this: Source tells me former #UF head coach Jim McElwain has been offered the job at #Michigan, which eventually could include a role as an OC there. Am told he could start there as early as next week.

Read the article and was going to link it here, but see you beat me to it. Interesting, in that it is written by a MICH fan who has ties to and is currently living in G'ville. Guy is not losing it when writing, but can't fathom the move by MICH at all.

For me, I agree with others commenting that Harbaugh will flee for NFL again soon. But the question going through my head is the same one we had in watching Mac retain Nuss for 3 years...who do we call the dumber moron, the idiot who can't do anything or the guy who hires him knowing this?

@ClowESPN: Former Florida head coach Jim McElwain has signed a deal to join Jim Harbaugh's staff at Michigan, McElwain tells ESPN. McElwain will coach the Wolverines' receivers and also be involved in helping to coordinate the offense and develop the weekly game plan.

the two sides later reached a $7.5 million buyout. That buyout was unmitigated, meaning it won't be impacted by what McElwain is paid at Michigan.

Fvkking Fooley you horse-toothed piece of shyt. A contract written by PDS or some other failure of an "attorney" no doubt.

This. It is insane the amount of money we have absolutely wasted on complete garbage and poorly structured contracts since the last real coach we had gave us a year’s notice. At the risk of piling on, don’t forget, in our legal brilliance and business savvy, we had to pay Colorado State for the right to spend over 15 million for exactly nothing. It’s staggering how inept we’ve been from the top down, even with the basics.

Honestly, I am f+++ing shocked at this news. Seriously, how in the hell does Jim F+++ing McElwain find a job in football? I do not know how anyone can justify hiring him to do anything in the sport. He has proven himself to be abysmally inept in every capacity. If I were coaching a rec team of 8 year olds, I would not allow him to be an equipment manager. I am sure he would f+++ that up too. He would probably lose the bag of footballs, or some other dumb sh!t like that. God, I wish I could be such a colossal f+++ up in life, and still somehow get paid millions of dollars. Some people have perfected the art of stepping in bull sh!t and coming out smelling like a rose. Mac is obviously a master at it. I wish I could be so lucky.

I generally live a life of happiness for the success of others, but I cannot do that with him. He swindled us out of time, hope, and a sh!tload of dollars. I truly despise the guy.

Thats actually purty kewl.

I find joy in the fact that Saban hired an OC and multiple position coaches and had no interest in Butters. That had to sting.

The Italian in me says let her stay on and see what she has under her nails. It would be hard to truly justify the nonsense we’ve seen over the last decade, or merely chalk it up to bad luck.

From WM’s hiring after a year of advance notice, to his contract allowing him to take another job within Conference and still be paid, to paying CSU, to the mutual 7.5...it’s really hard to imagine we actually have people within our front office who care about the state of the program.
