Florida is on the road tonight to take on Alabama on ESPN at 7 PM. This is another must win game to secure a tourney bid. A loss puts us in questionable territory again. We must come out flying high and playing with the heart and intensity that we showed against Auburn. Lay it all on the line. Make them pay for crushing us at home

Hopefully the team will be looking for revenge like they did against South Carolina and come out with a ton of energy and shut up the crowd!

I just hope Allen stays aggressive... so many times I have seen him have one good game and then regress back.

This is a very winnable game that UF needs badly.

We seem to have a knack for playing teams while they are in the middle of a losing streak which I have no problem with.
It would be nice if just once we were not the cure for a losing streak.

Let's be honest, this is NOT a very good Alabama team. I believe that Avery has gotten a little too much credit for fielding a team that is not really any better than any they have had in the last decade, with the addition of one really good player. That really good player should ultimately hurt their program but that is another subject.

If we play well at all, which is never assumed with this team, we should win but history says that we will find a way to lose it in the end.

Believe it or not, I am actually looking forward to the game.

Hopefully we will go to Tuscaloosa with momentum, confidence and I hope a chip on our shoulder for that egg we laid the last time we played them.

Not very confident about this game considering how bad Cheeze-Whiz got outplayed by their five-star diaper-dandy, mercenary-for-hire. Especially concerned about the way they abused us on the boards and ran away with the game at the end. Same old story for the 'small ball' Gators... Play defense and make shots or you'll lose badly in the second half.

I'm more concerned by Gator fans who can't figure out how to grow a pair. You shouldn't confine yourself to the safe space of winning only. A super fan weathers the good and bad, learns how to lose with dignity. Sometimes life punches you in the face. How you respond defines your character. You can never just give up on yourself or your team. Don't be afraid of competition. Don't be afraid of losing. The road to success is paved with potholes and failure. Life isn't a video game. You can't always hit the reset button on your coach and hope for that perfect string of endless winning seasons. Love what you have and watch it grow.

I think this is a winnable game too. To me Chiozza and all of UF's bigs should be embarrassed and playing with a chip on their shoulders after what happened in Gainesville.

To me it was not so much Sexton who averages 18 getting 17 on UF in Gainesville as Avery Johnson Jr getting 10 with zero turnovers in 21 minutes. You can not let their backups abuse you. Also all of UF's bigs just let themselves be out hustled the whole game.

I'm already feeling Nostradamic regret. I envision our guys seized by watching-it-all what's-the-use? -- following coach White's non-lead lead.
... or, send Hayes, Basset, Gak, Stone hard inside. Let Okauru & Hudson run'em ragged. Set Egor & Allen to square-up for high % hits. White's got the ore for a dynamic team. Can he mine it ? tonight?

But when your coach:

1. Missed the NCAA tourney every year at LaTech, ie 4 seasons 3 of which he won the conference regular season.

2. Missed the NCAA tourney his first year at UF.

3. Made the NCAA tourney and had a nice run in year 2 at UF.

4. Is in danger of missing the NCAA tourney in year 3 at UF by blowing 10 point second half leads playing small ball with a pretty talented bunch.

You have reason for pause. This season will to a great extent define Mike White. He either gets a bid 2 out 3 years at UF or he misses the tourney 2 out of 3 years at UF.

His performance at LaTech made him one of the hottest coach prospects in the country. He was considered a HomeRun hire by most analysts.

2. Missed the NCAA tourney his first year at UF.
Legendary Billy Donovan also missed the tourney the previous year. Do you think he would of skipped out on his twentieth season at UF if he had a stacked roster coming back? The point guard shot less than 55% at the LINE and their five-star forward, Skywalker, couldn't even get off the bench.

3. Made the NCAA tourney and had a nice run in year 2 at UF.
I'll say. Elite eights are hard to come by. He did a great job in the tourney with a damaged roster. That Tourney run led to too high of a preseason ranking, leading to overconfidence and laziness.

4. Is in danger of missing the NCAA tourney in year 3 at UF by blowing 10 point second half leads playing small ball with a pretty talented bunch.
Losing the late leads is a true knock on the head. MW needs to improve how he closes out games. He'll improve. Hopefully this year even.

You have reason for pause. This season will to a great extent define Mike White. He either gets a bid 2 out 3 years at UF or he misses the tourney 2 out of 3 years at UF.
I agree. The standard should be about recruiting and making the tourney. Is he bringing in the star power that will make us competitive and exciting? And do we make the Tourney and compete.

The fear and pain of losing clouds our judgment. Let the ball bounce where it may. Enjoy the ride!

Considering how well Bassett played against auburn, I expect him to get about 4-5 minutes tonight. That seems to be White's style.

Pure garbage again vs Bama. Just bad coaching and design.

Florida is down 7-2 at the under 26 timeout. We have more fouls and more turnovers then points already. No motion no energy. Bama will just drive and run in transition. So ugly. Better pull it together asap or another 20 pt blowout may come

Florida is up 12-7 at the under 12 timeout. Hudson has like 8 straight points waking us up

Gators on a 10-0 run. White switching defenses, man to zone to man and it has confused Bama as they are 0-9 shooting during the last 7 minutes...
