It was marketing 100% for both McGregor and Dana....UFC has no one to really carry their banner presently and if anyone has noticed they are over the last few years pimping their fights more and more like WWE grudge match's than the traditional MMA style of no trash talking before fights.
As someone else mentioned I would also expect to see McGregor showing up occasionally to some of the bigger WWE events to get a nice sack full of Vince McMahons cash here and there since he is pretty much a household name.

I know what I am talking about just too absent minded to type properly. I meant to type Ireland but the message is the same. One would think that with his name it would be easy to remember his country of origin but clearly not in my case.

Thanks for keeping me straight
regardless of country, outside of becoming a taxpayer, who the hell pays back welfare?

Three pages about a crazy little drunk Irishman? My GOD can football get here soon enough?
I love the Irish. I love everything about them but like LSU fans they drink a little too much.

Nobody. However, I believe that millionaires that took advantage of a benevolent system totally for self serving reasons, should be required to do so but I am a dreamer

So you'd volunteer to stand in front of Conor McGregor as he hurled a dolly at your face? Clearly it's not that serious, so you'd be ok.
After spending 12 years working with men and women who volunteer every day "to stand in front" of actual projectiles and four deployments to Afghanistan myself, yes, a dolly being thrown at a bus window is not that serious to me.

I also find it idiotic when athletes refer to sports as "war." Anything else you'd like me to address?

Cool then, so you volunteer to stand in front of a man throwing a dolly at your face. Please video it, we'd all like to watch and laugh.

Uh no, and I don't think that was the point.
If you followed the full thread, I think I was referring to paying the money back
That was obvious, but why would someone who wasn't a millionaire when they received welfare, pay it back years later, just because they are now?

Makes no sense...makes even less sense to complain about someone who doesn't in that scenario.

If you were given a gift by a friend that was helping you out when you hit hard times, are you saying you would not feel obligated to pay them back or to reciprocate in some way?

I believe that I have friends that think like me. I see this as common decency.
Clearly this is an attribute in short supply in America today. So I guess I am complaining about the lack of common decency, what a dinosaur I am
