Did anyone hear Franks interview during the O&B game. He's convinced himself that he's a 1st round pick based on his skills.
While I like the confidence, he was awful last year. Without recognizing that, he's doomed.
I'll take anyone but him.

My father said something to me in an email about Franks being a great self-promoter but a lousy QB. No doubt. Franks loves himself some Franks.

You said it. That freaking windup. Bubble screen, fly pattern, doesn't matter. Always that freaking windup that gives linebackers, DBs and DCs all the additional time they need to stuff the play.

How does it factor in that Trask is the CFB QB with the least starting experience in the history of CFB?
His entire FB history, mind-set is as a never-has-been.
How long 'til he acquires a "put-it-all-on-me" leadership mantle ? That cannot be estimated can it ?
That said, how have all these other schools come up with 2nd string QBs better than our 1sts ?

It was his reaction to throwing 12 pick 6's against FSU and acting ho-hum about it.
At O&B, His long TD run where a safety laid off around the 20 yd line and the other safety held his jersey at the 5, yet he dove into the end zone and acted like a diva.
He rubs me the wrong way. He hasn't earned it. I don't care about his participation trophy that he's so proud of.
I've heard he's putting in the work. I give him credit for that. Until that work pays off, he needs some humility. There are 10 SEC QBs better than him.

That was bs. He didn't score, but they did it on both sides. Several times Trash had a DE with both hands on him, then threw, ruled completed pass.
Ox said they both are trash in the box at half. He was right. Frankly, if you don't look much better than a Div 3 Houston Baptist scout squad player, you aren't anywhere close to being ready.
I SAID he wasn't ready last year, and, franksly, he isn't any more ready this year. But Mullinz obviously thinks he is and that his running ability is enough to ride that horse for a month or two. I hope EJ develops quickly and Jaylin is ready quickly as an emergency QB too.

Not sure we're reading that totally right. Mullen put as much emphasis on the show as the product and the players willingly bought in.
Franks, who strikes me as a bit of a ham, was just doing his part. It's obvious his teammates like him. They feed off the energy if not the mistakes. He didn't mope when Mac sat him in favor of LDR last season. He won respect from it.
I think you have to like the new vibe being promoted by Mullen as long as the players understand their accountability. I think Feleipe does. Unfortunately, his day in the sun won't last. This is destined to be Jones' team.

You keep getting me mixed up lately for some reason. Even in posts you dug up from over a year ago. Of course most people including me were down on LDR's limits when playing QB but i said even during camp last season it appeared Franks wasnt good at all and we were getting Driskel fluff articles on him.
It wouldnt surprise me if I said bring on LDR again after watching Franks Driskel in that Michigan game.
I guess i will have to start digging up some of your classics if you want to play these games.
