UT and LSU have much better rosters.

Perhaps you should look at those better totals above before you suggest other people are out of touch with reality. Those totals reflect broader expectations than star gazers on message boards.

As for your haven't beaten them since 1923 typical SEC garbage "stat," save it for someone who does not know how often UF plays at Miss St. You will have a much better chance of fooling them.

When’s our last win over Missy State on the road?
Take off your orange and blue glasses and face reality. This might be the worst roster we’ve had since 89.

I agree with your 2nd point but not on UT and LSU. The Vols are ass and Butch was worse than Mac at recruiting. That's a win. LSU will suck this year but they probably beat us.

Vols
Vandy
Kent
Charleston
Idaho
Col St.

Those are our wins for 6-6 but Franks will lose to one of them and get us 5-7.

Well I have long ago said, whomever was hired as coach should at a minimum win 10 games against this schedule. I do not know if this coach will, but I know there were candidates who would win 10 games at least against this schedule with this roster.

Pretty bad considering the favorable schedule we have this year.

I just don't understand why everyone on this board just chalks up a W every year for TN. They beat us last year and should have beaten us the year before had Callaway had a normal curl route. Gotta be 95% of curl routes end in less than 15 yards but he took one 60 yards with a minute left. Because of Mac our rosters are very similar to teams like TN, SC, and even Miss St so I wouldn't put a W next to any of those teams in the off season. I'm not saying we lose to all or any but to me they are all toss up games because of Mac

Seven is exactly my pick. It would be tough for me to bet over or under. I guess that ia why Vegas makes money. They know what they are doing.

Yep. It's called "gambling". If it was called "winning" everybody would be doing it. On O/U's, I like when there's a half point/game (I'd have preferred to see this line at 6.5 or 7.5 vs. 7 - even numbers means there can be a push vs. half point guarantees a winner/loser).

Perhaps you should look at those better totals above before you suggest other people are out of touch with reality. Those totals reflect broader expectations than star gazers on message boards.

If you follow SEC football, you should know that OUR current coach left Miss State w/ a better team than Butters left OUR new coach. To dismiss a road game vs. a 9-4 Miss State team, who returns 18 starters - including a very good QB - implies you don't pay much attention to what goes on around College Football except UF. I've posted this before, but this game sets up for a blowout; road game, SEC West team that returns a ton of talent from a very good team, ranked vs. unranked, 4-7 vs. 9-4, plus....the 'revenge' factor (those players will want to kick the sh*t out of their old coach/coaches....PLUS the place will be rocking, because the fans will want this win vs. the old coach just as bad). As Kev just said about Tennessee (those chalking up a win vs. TN just because it's TN)....well, this ain't 2008. We're a 4-7 team that has been a slightly above average team for 8+ years. Miss State has been a better team/better program than UF for 9 years now. If we beat Miss State, Mullen will have pulled off his first huge road win (and it will be a 'huge' road win, even though it's "just" Miss State).

The years you are referring to the Vols had a stacked roster. They should have won the East Dobbs last year. They went toe to toe with a 4 win Gator team last year. Did TN even win a conference game last season? That team stinks everywhere. At least we have good corners and are loaded at RB.

It is hard to know where to begin with this:

1. There is a thing called a thread. You criticize me claiming I must not
"pay much attention to what goes on around College Football except UF." On the other hand you apparently can not even follow discussion in a thread. In fact Miss St. was not included in my list 7 games to meet the total threshold, but was discussed among at UTn, at Miss. St. and LSU in response to someone asking why would I expect UF to upset anyone.

2. Additionally, you seem to think UF is playing some 9-4 Miss St team, when in fact the 2018 Miss St. team is 0-0 right now with a Penn St ex-OC as head coach.

3. Over the last 9 years, ie the time frame YOU picked and claimed , Miss St. has gone, 69-46, 33-39 in the SEC. During the same period UF has gone 73-42, 45-27 in the SEC. Talk about not paying attention to anything but UF.

Great response. You bash our current coach while suggesting our current coach will beat his old team. Got it!!

Go Gators!! We're the greatest!!!

I never said Tn had a stacked roster. I said our roster is very similar because of Mac and how he recruited.

Look I know you millennials are very sensitive and think that someone who points out the sun rises in the east and set in the west is a hater and heliophobic, but alas facts are facts. So typing out facts is not bashing, it is looking at the facts.

Personally, if I were to look at the issue you raised, I would have not included the last two Meyer seasons. That would compare Mullen after two years to get his program established to the post Meyer era at UF. My quick calculation on that is that in the last 7 seasons Miss St was 55-35 and 26-30 in the SEC, while UF under Muschamp and McElwain were 52-26 and 33-23 in the SEC. Those are facts. You can offer opinions about the context, SEC West maybe being tougher during part of the time, but then again UF had two coaching change years.

BTW, for any star gazers out there the current Miss. St. roster is composed of players from classes ranked: 36, 18, 24, 28, and 27 while UF's roster is composed of players from classes ranked 9, 21, 12, 11 and 14. Now I am not a star gazer, but I am pretty sure that UF talent is at least as good and likely better than Miss St.

Am I saying UF will win there, no. Am I saying it is not beyond the realm of possibility that UF will win there this season, yes. Am I saying UF coaches are expected to beat Miss St, certainly.

Ah some people are millennials by birth and some are just millennials at heart. Then again I guess I am just heliophobic.
