Wasn’t directed at anyone - just throwing out the standard defense for why someone chose a different team and why we didn’t want him anyways.

So Mullen isn't a good recruiter because he didn't pull in top classes there, but when the new staff fares about the same, it's because of the school....

I think he was saying that MSU doesn't typically hire great recruiters and the new MSU staff likely are not great recruiters. Thus if they recruit at the same level Mullen did there, then that's a sign Mullen wasn't/isn't a great recruiter.

Of course by the time the new MSU staff has its first full recruiting cycle, Mullen will have had a full cycle here and we won't need a proxy to figure out how good he is or isn't.

When we get early commits we are told “nothing counts until the the LOI is faxed in on signing day”. When others get early commits we are told the sky is falling and we are way behind the 8 ball. Message boards.......

Recruiting starts with showing excitement on the field. We DESPERATELY need to produce a competitive offence THIS year. I don't see that happening with the QBs on our roster combined with our O line struggles. We need the Burrow kid from OSU; he would be a great addition throughout this transition to a spread-option offence. Burrow's understanding and instincts of the Meyer / Mullin offense will help to alleviate our O-line deficiencies and therefore buy us some time. Furthermore, Burrow's influence on Emory would do muxh to expediate the process of his development.
If we do not land Burrow, we will be forced to play EJ this season--and hope that he adapts quickly--otherwise, we are in for a few more long, dreadful chapters of Gator football.

Being committed a few months ago when the university apparently paid millions to get every sports writer to author reports of the coming "offensive explosion".

Right now its just an excuse for some on this board to avoid reality. We've pulled 3* players and fsu has pulled top 200 players bit it's our players are underrated and theirs we didn't want anyway.

Heres the kickback though. Theres a good chance MSUs class is very good this year because of the depth of talent in the state. But he will not and will refuse to see that at the end. It would have been very good with Mullen there too with the chance to actually land guys like 5 star Dean.
