I can't believe any team would draft him. But theres is a reason the Browns, Gags and Bucs have sucked for so long.

What have you got against the Jags?

Rounds 5-7 normally don’t yield much production. Why not take a flier on a kid with that much talent. The potential reward outweighs the risk.

I think Calloway could be a solid NFL receiver, but he ain't Antonio Brown. And he sure as hell ain't Josh Gordon, who is one of the most talented receivers I've ever seen.

In my opinion, Jerry Rice is the greatest receiver of all time but Randy Moss is the most talented receiver of all time.

Josh Gordon has talent just slightly below Moss - that’s how good he is. He’s done his best to waste it all, but he’s got one more chance.

Megatron and Fitzgerald are just barely a smidge below those 2.

Callaway has roughly the size and style of a guy like Nelson Agholor. IF he gets his head on straight and IF he works hard he could be that sort of guy. But those are huge “ifs”. He’s much more likely to be that guy who, every year or two, we’re getting “I’ve really learned my lesson” stories. (Past performance being what it is.) But he’s not freakishly built so as to merit too many of those.

All the scouts are calling him an absolute train wreck as well

https://www.seccountry.com/florida/...-callaway-a-train-wreck-with-off-field-issues

“He is super talented. The tape from his sophomore season’s really good,” a scout told Pelissero. “But he is a train wreck when it comes to some of that off-field stuff. Poor decision-making at every turn.”

Another scout said the drug issues are a higher concern, and he reportedly admitted to smoking marijuana about six weeks before the NFL combine, per Pelissero.

“He’s not a bad kid, either. He’s just been around a lot of trouble,” an AFC scout told Pelissero. “And he admits to the fact that trouble finds him. He just hangs with the wrong people. It’s a shame, because he’s ridiculously talented.”

I always love it when people say he is not "bad" and blame those around him. Staying around such is bad, hanging with the wrong people is bad, not learning from your mistakes is bad, and doing any drugs is bad.

He is a bad kid, but he could learn but probably won't.

Can a guy hype up one of our own for once?!

You guys are a tough crowd. Sheesh!

Is Callaway on the level of Antonio Brown? No. Nobody is. I referenced Antonio because he was a guy that was drafted in the 6th round and outworked everyone to become the best receiver in the league. Yeah, he’s better than Julio...let’s have that debate too if you want.

I referenced Josh Gordon because he is a guy with tremendous talent that has nearly sabotaged his way out of the league because he has no self-control.

I don’t know what Antonio Callaway’s ceiling is, but I know he has the potential to be a #1 receiver in the NFL if he can get his act together. I don’t pay attention to his numbers at UF because he had sub-par QBs throwing him the ball for most of his career. Call it what it is. The guy has tremendous footwork, has 4.4 speed, and is a dangerous return man.

He is the ultimate high risk, high reward prospect, but don’t be surprised if he is a beast in the league.

I can't wait till Callaway makes the Pro Bowl as a rookie and Ox and Law start referring to him again as ours.

Strike that. First-team All-Pro.

You guys are misguided. Of all days to criticize Callaway, today is not the day. He should be celebrated as a pioneer on this national holiday. :scratchchin:
