Just dropping in to get my daily kick in the nuts by the steel toed boot known as recruiting.

Hey, at least we got girl's softball. <---- Can I say girl? I mean women's. Or is that sexist too? I don't know any more.

I'm glad someone put the fire under that kid's butt and made him apologize on Twitter. Still, let's face it, it's after the fact, and he and the others could never have been convinced by their Miami friend to do the same to Taggart or Dabo. They would have been terrified of losing out on an opportunity to go to a program like Clemson and I guess the clowns have more street cred or whatever....

We need to get to a point where kids feel they need UF, not the other way around.

Excited to see the gains with the TE and DE. We're lacking in TE talent and I don't care if the kid is from freakin' Timbuktu. Get his ass in here, especially if he comes in between 220 and 230. And it would be great to pick Pickering out from Miss. Could see both those guys in this class as opposed to the sinking feeling I have about others.

The 5* talent isn't coming until Mullen shows a semblance of offence and overall improvement.
Right now he's trying to sell Kias to the upper class.

Have to try man. Never know what could happen. I'm sure folks thought it was dumb to go after Malik Langham but we still nabbed him. I like how Mullen is going after big names. Logic says we should get some of them. If we end the summer with only 8 commits then I'll start to worry.

Exactly Orgeron's seat could be very warm by the end of the season. That could change where he ends up going.

So true. And while they pocket 80 million in football profit every fvkking year, they say they need increased donations to build anything. They also manage to tie about 75% or more of every big spending project with the BS nobody cares sports.

It's time to take some bleach to the entire AD's office. Clean that whole place out. Every last piece of left over Fooley shyt.
The $hit is unreal!

His resume is clear, mid 20s or so.

Pretty decent chance Cowbell beats us again this year too.
There's alot of smoke saying that this weekend did what it was supposed to by changing alot of the negative perception about the program. I spoke with one of my friends who was at the cookout and he said "things are FINALLY coming together" and to expect some big names to pop before or a day or 2 after FNL. He's plugged in and has never been wrong on recruiting so we'll see what happens.

Good grief!

1. Everyone has been wrong about recruiting. Everyone! Head coaches sometimes are blindsided by kids going elsewhere and even commitments.

2. Sitting around and chatting while eating BBQ or throwing Cane signs is not going to change the perception of UF football. Having a decent offense along with having a decent defense and looking like a competent program on Saturdays.

3. There are 12 games between now and early and late signing days. They will have much more to do with who UF ultimately gets than some BBQ.

I was going to ask him about the coCaines thing.

I agree we have no hope of landing a really elite team til we show some drastic improvement on the field but surely we can recruit as well as cowbell in the interim. They've been getting blown out 4-6 times a year amd havent had an offense in forever either.

Our perception doesn’t matter (unless if you believe in the idea that recruits read message boards and are influenced by the constant negativity of fans on Gatorchatter). What matters is the perception of the elite players at the BBQ. We honestly don’t know what the atmosphere was like because we weren’t there. The players throwing up the U sign has bad optics for the ultra negative on Gatorchatter who trash the coaches and the program when any opportunity presents itself, but the optics from our perspective are not the optics of those who attended the BBQ. So, Marianna’s info is good news. We only need to change the perception of a few key recruits.
