Clutch. Gator hitters saved Ocasio. Didnt Ocasio and Barnhill blow the NC to OU last year? I dont trust them. Barnhill is babied and cant finish games and Ocasio well did you see her pitch the last 2 games? smh. For walton to allow Ocasio to throw a 3 - 1 fastball to that slugger is horrendous! Poor Aggie girls. But I'll take it.
Good the Gators made the wcws. But OU and their huge 8th year seniors are the clear favorites. ;)

At least the OU heifers are on the other side of the bracket from us. We could have 3 of the 4 on our side be SEC teams if the Corndogs can finish off the Evil Nole.

SEC teams dont fear the Gators. Look at A & M. Gators should beat UGA but who knows.

That was an instant classic of a softball game. Wish I was in the stands but I settled for watching from my pool. I like that they were battle tested in this series and show no quit, should help us in the wcws.

I was watching the game and I am not sure if this UF team is a real threat, but that was an exciting finish. I know statistically their pitching is good, but they seemed to get whacked around this whole weekend based on the box scores, I mean more so than I am used to when you supposedly have dominant pitching. I know they gave up the lead with that HR in the top of 7th. but the problem was loading the bases in the 6th inning thus allowing the bottom of the order to hit and getting back to their good hitters in the 7th. But they pulled it out and I guess they have a chance and I do not know a lot about softball pitching, but it appears that Barnhill is one dimensional in that everything is the same speed with little variations.

Major base running mistakes in the first couple of innings. Way too aggressive, trying to take two bases on an infield hit? Why? ran them right out of a couple of innings and cost runs. I guess know one will be asking him those questions now though!

What a series! Unreal finishes in all games. I hope Barnhill finds her groove again.

Well I missed today’s game but I’m glad we won. From what I saw earlier in the weekend and reading this thread about today’s game, it sounds like the ladies need to get it together quickly if we’re to have a chance at winning this thing. I hope they do it!

Barnhill doesn't have an offspeed pitch to keep hitters off balance. So once they get used to her speed and 3 level rise ball, the better hitters just time it up and blast it. Both Ocasio & Barnhill are All Americans, but sometimes you just run into teams that are better. We, also, had Delaney Gourley last year and Oklahoma beat up on all 3 of our pitchers. That first game of the championship series went 17 innings. The best softball game I've ever seen. The Gators kept clawing back over and over and finally just couldn't do it in the end. I will be surprised if it's not Oklahoma & UCLA for the title this year. As good as our pitching is, it's not as good as last year. And we don't hit the ball as well as we did last year either. Georgia is going to be a very tough matchup for us in Game 1. But at least we're there!!

I missed the first half or so. I’d rather see aggressive mistakes than playing scared. And I don’t know enough about SB or BB to criticize a HC with 2 rings.
Anyway, I think that other poster was complaining and gave up on the team before the game was over. Plate of crow for table one!
