I suspect because Scarlett didn't play last year he didn't make the list. Davis got hurt so that probably factored in. That being said, who the heck wouldn't want a backfield of Scarlett, Davis, Perine, Lemons. And then the freshman of Pierce and Clement ain't to shabby. RBs should have a great year.

Davis is our only elite RB probably of those with some playing time. Scarlett is an above average RB that is good at breaking tackles and his rushing avg reflects that.

And people still swear our roster is in good shape other than QB. :dunno:

I actually think we may have too many quality backs for any one of them to stand out as far as stats go. I seem to remember Scarlett actually being the back that could break tackles and run violently. Without the oline being able to generate much push, Scarlett generated a lot of his yardage by running hard

Mullen will transform the running game overnight. Regardless of the shape of the OL.

We will be a top three running attack in the SEC. Probably bottom third in passing.

Davis is the best all around back on the team but his injury probably precludes him from getting a mention. Scarlett's year off for suspension probably precluded him from getting a mention but his previous play shows that he is serviceable and no where near elite. Perrine, in my opinion, showed great improvement last year. As a frosh he had no wiggle, no vision and could not make any tackler miss. He greatly improved those areas last year.

With all that said, how much weight do you think was put on the fact that the O line will probably suck Donkey PENU$ again this fall?, thus not allowing a back to look decent?

Well they heard that we had the best o-line in the SEC according to Butters so no one's impressed with their lack of production.

How do you handicap the situation with quarterback and offensive line that much up in the air? Futures on the UF running game, read option or not, have got to be expensive.

Our running backs are very good, but if the line is unable to do its job and opposing defenses are able to poach out of weakness at the quarterback position, what good is it having talented runners?
