He would do well in Mark Richt's offense.

I hope he does well wherever he goes.
Mark Richt isnt interested in him.

I doubt FAU will either. He is probably.looking at FCS at the best.

Who else moves on? I'm guessing we lose up to 4 transfers.....and OL, DB, and QB were/are the most likely.

Well Jake Allen was the obvious first to go. there's a ton of others that expect Andrew Mike and and some dbs, but I've been expecting Mike to leave for 3 years. We're not short on scholarship so there's no pressure yet I guess. It is the beauty of having 70 "scholly" players, no pressure to hurt anyone's feelings.

God speed young gator. Your commitment to the program was very honorable and I only wish things would have worked out for you here but it didn't. I wish you all the best and I hope you are able to fulfill all of your dreams. Good luck wherever you go!

Agree on the 70 scholarship part. I'm expecting Mike to stick around honestly. Why leave? He's probably already in grad school (he's a redshirt senior).

Good for him, perhaps a transfer to a prominent lower level program who needs a QB would be great. I also hope he has been getting his education while at UF. They usually don't mention that which is most important to me. Students first.

Not that I expect anything to change with teenagers but Allen is a good example of a kid learning to be humble. He trolled the Canes hard after he committed to Florida. He leaves without getting a whiff of playing time

Wow, thought he'd at least get a scholly. No schollies in Ivy League or Div 3.

Probably could have gotten a scholly at some low D 1 school and sat on the pine. But if he can academically get into an IVY league school, he can probably get some type of academic aid and in the grand scheme his IVY league diploma will earn him more money than a diploma from a school where he took such classes as Underwater Basket Weaving and Advanced Toenail Clipping

Damn, that's landing on your feet well. Had no idea he was that bright. Maybe we gave up on him too soon.

I think it is the other way around and Allen gave up on us. Allen is probably not good enough to play upper level D1 nor does his style fit what Cousin Eddie does on offense, and does not want to be a punching bag at QB. At Dartmouth he will be playing at a level that is probably a notch below his high school team and competition.

He was a great kid that stood by his commitment. He wanted to be a Gator and recruited hard for us. Sound familiar?
He just didn't fit the new scheme. I wish him the best.
