Word is that Trey Sanders is heading to Bama with his brother in Tow. I guess Saban dropped the bag! Will update when I have more.

Word is? He was there this weekend....with his brother. It wasn't a secret. I still think we get him. Isn't his brother already signed (to an LOI as a preferred walk-on)?

FAU hosting a camp with Bama and UGa reps there is really smart. We need to try to do the same thing with another big time program. Let's go do a camp with Clemson and Dabo in ATL.
I believe we are doing one with USCw this summer...not sure about any others

No walk-on's don't sign LOI...that's for scholarship athletes. He's basically like another student and could easily just switch to bama.

Also:

- They are a very low ranked 3-star and couldn't believe a school like UF would offer them so they jumped on it (see Marks, Whittemore, and Abrams).

Texas A&M: 5-star OL Kenyon Green commits to play for Jimbo. A&M now has the #2 class in the country. A&M also landed two 2020 OL's this weekend.

Miss State: Flips 4-star Safety Jarrien Jones from Oklahoma, the #262 player in the class. Also landed 3-star DE Jack Harris. Miss State's class now ranked 14th in the nation.

South Carolina: adds commit from 4-star OLB Derek Boykins. USC now has the #4 ranked class in the country.

Here said that when he said, "...make sure they have a spot in the class." Much much more than the star gazers here understand kids are seeking out a spot at a high major place like UF. Lots of "decommitments" are teams cutting former offers as their class builds up. Now kids can commit and more importantly sign early locking up a spot.

That is part of why UF's early is mainly 3 star players and why aTm, Clemson and Michigan are in the 247 Top 10 with 15 3 star players among them. Traditionally guys with more and more solid options decide later.

His brother is not a Gator until he steps on campus! Its being rumored that Saban has told the Sanders family that he wants both of them so I'm assuming he's going to offer umstead a preferred walk on as well. As we all know if Nicky wants a kid he will say/do whatever is necessary to get him so we'll see what happens. Btw...im still waiting on a couple of calls and will update once I have more.

In Cali? Why? I think that is poor planning and a waste of resources unless you are getting a lot of kids from the SE attending. Otherwise, wtf?

Because this staff has made CA a priority and we may land a couple big ones this year. Or it will backfire spectacularly...

When they "do" a camp w/ another school there is usually - at least - one coach from the visiting school. So, we may be just sending one or two of our coaches to assist w/ the camp. I'm fine with it. But we should also be doing camps around the SE; Atlanta, Norfolk, Charlotte, Charleston, somewhere in Alabama/Mississippi/Louisiana, etc.

We did one at Old Dominion last year under Butters.

Even if we get a couple I do not htink this is worth it. Just my opinion though. Tons of kids in the SE though.

I think the point of these shared camps is to get out of your main target area or to do it with schools you don’t have as much affiliation with. Like Alabama going to FAU helps both schools and doesn’t hurt them. Though usc may be the ones making a mistake with our coaches coming in when we’re competing with them for some big guys
