What I’ve learned in the first 11 pages:

a) Ancient is just a super loyal guy, great Gator and possible commie.

b) At least up to this point, Michigan’s WR Corp is wondering why their new coach is spending so much time on the internet.
That was clever. Law hasn't liked it yet. I think he is envious.

Maybe with Jordan Smith who sofl brought up, the three NFL players and others we win by more. If UT couldn't stop Cleveland what are they going to do versus Callaway (who already beat UT) and Cleveland.

You keep mentioning the Callaway winning reception against UT, but just because he did it once against UT, doesn't mean that he'll do it again. I've already pointed out to you that he's a key reason why we lost to UT the next year, and he only had 3 TD's in 2016. Quit talking him up like he's Percy Harvin.

You really think a guy who only scored 3 TD's the year before is that much of a difference maker? I sure don't. The Browns drafting someone hardly means that person is a top player.

Harris was the only missing player last year that may have had an impact, but it wouldn't have been a large one in the grand scheme of things because the offense would still struggle to score points and the defense around him had too many flaws.

NFL scouts believed Callaway was the best WR in this draft class if he doesn’t come with the off-field baggage. Some scouts believe he has potential NFL HOF ability.

I want to grow up and be sofla some day, no doubt. He has an extra dose of cool cat with his exceptional sarcasm skill.

Epic thread! My thoughts...

Losing those 9 CC players probably affected the W-L record. Guessing we go 6-5 or so as we aren’t playing walk on LBs and we have greater depth. We had no depth, talent, or coaching last year. The suspensions contributed to the first two. That said...

It worked out for the program, long term. That might’ve enabled another year of Mac’s BS, including poor recruiting and poor S&C. Only difference would’ve been that we would’ve been pissed as hell watching the 18 class crash and burn as all those kids jumped from the “top 3 class” ship to better situations.

The walkon was playing because he was better than the players (Rayshad Jackson and Lacedrick Brunson in particular) Butterteeth recruited, not bc we were out of LBs.

I think Mullins is a MUCH BETTER coach than Butters,Zook and Will Mindcramp combined!!! That said once he irons out the offensive probs and lets the Monster D do what it does best I think that we'll be much happier with him than the three turds in the punch bowl mentioned above We'll see if Scott Strickland is a better AD than Jeremy Foley by this hire !!! I've got high hopes for this new coach and hope he'll live up to the hype and not just go belly up when problems come up in the future!!! Just remember 5 & 6 makes him a better coach than Butters!!! But 10 & 2 would probably make him king

I had just decided to use "Law" when in agreement, and 'Donk" otherwise. But if you don't like "Law", then I won't.
P.S. I don't really remember 2222.

Acknowledged but those two were non rated or 2 stars on all services. Both guys we lost were 3 Star Rivals dudes. Not impressive, by any stretch, but potential upgrades from an athletics standpoint. And that’s what killed Garcia. Either way, that was two dudes missing that would’ve added depth - at a minimum.

No poster has a larger differential between brilliant posts and dumb posts. Unlike, say, Douglas whose posts are uniformly...... well, you know. Incidentally, if you are in doubt this is not brilliant. Some posters attribute the difference to alcohol. If you wish to disabuse them of this notion, you will probably need to discuss your genetic inheritance.
Yeah, I know stars don't matter. It's just blind luck that all those three star schools in Mississippi and Kentucky have sucked for the last 40 years.

They would have never been on the field.

Garcia was on the field because he wasn't 205-215 like all our other safety sized LBs.

The preseason magazines had Callaway as one the best WRS in the country. Cleveland and Callaway would give defenses more to worry about.
