Grier threw 4 TD passes versus #3 Ole Miss in a nationally televised game during Mac's season 1..
And you swallowed the shaft and stroked the balls... but it still didn't change anything.

McElwain was what his resume said he was, a middle of the pack 21-16 WAC coach, who didn't recruit well, lost games to lesser teams due to poor coaching, and will never be a champion.

These tea leaves werent particularly hard to read.

Sadly, those words could’ve been his actual resume and Foley still would’ve hired him.

I don't know how you conduct an interview on a guy like that and think anything other than "how do I end this as quickly as possible without being rude?"

I really think the Byrd loves Butters more than UF football, i mean it's obvious considering how he is always at his defense acting like having Scarlett and Callaway was gonna extraordinarily turn this team around that lacked depth on the O-line and on defense due to horrid recruiting.

Nahhhh.... he just can't accept being wrong. Being wrong must be just bad luck or something.

He obviously has zero clue about football. He is a stat reader. That's why he can't get past praising a 4 loss season and things like that.

I'm the opposite. I LOVE being wrong about Jordan Reed or whomever.

If you love being wrong, you must be very happy.

Never said that. Wanted Butters fired in year 3. Ox felt ALL the games stunk. He likely missed remembering Ole Miss.

I Said IN THE CLOSE GAMES last year the 9 suspended players and injured defensive leader Harris could have made a difference. Just common sense. In the blow out games we would have likely still lost.

That and the 2016 Kentucky game were the only games where our offense looked competent, the rest was a pure shyt show. And no one gives a shyt about what anybody does in one game, if you only score 2 points against your most hated rival at home and proceed to lose your final 3 games by a combined score of 97-24 the hate you get is warranted.
We had no OL left and Treon at QB in the final 3 games. The media knew that when they voted Mac SEC coach of the year.

I didn’t say ALL the games stunk, I said HE stunk in all the games. I give him zero credit for that Ole Miss win. The players got hot and Ole Miss fell apart.

That would have been a silly observation at the time, but now being able to look back at his entire body of work, I think it’s proven to be accurate.

Ask Grier. He claimed he changed every single play that came into him that game. Every last one.

Awe. Come on Ox. These threads are like watching a fiery crash at the Daytona 500. It’s off-season entertainment.

A Mac sympathizer is almost as bad as a Nole.
I got a text from a Clown "friend" with a some picture of Butters which said just "I like this guy" after each Gators-Reject game.

Every other coach wanted Mac at UF they knew with him there it would make it a lot easier on them when recruiting in Florida. There's also a reason Saban didn't offer that clown a job when he was fired from UF, he knew that goofy good ol Montana boy shtick wasn't gonna win over recruits.
