I can’t imagine a Masters in P.E. would be too taxing.

As I suspected the graduate program has to be one that is not available at his current school to compete immediately. He might not have one that he could pass.

Q: Are there different rules for graduate students?

A: Student-athletes who have graduated are subject to the same release requirements as undergraduates and must have at least one year of eligibility remaining. To be eligible for the one-time transfer exception, football, basketball, baseball and men’s ice hockey student athletes must have been denied a scholarship renewal at their original school. If the student-athlete wishes to pursue a degree program not offered at the original institution, he or she is eligible for a waiver to compete immediately at the new school.

I'm not hating on other UF sports, I'm really not. They're all fine programs and I always wish them well. However, my understanding is that none of them except maybe basketball support themselves. They all need the money generated by the football program to survive and combined, they don't bring half the notoriety or fan support to the University that football does. Based on that, from my perspective football should always come first. I'm frustrated because it seems to me we've lost sight of that. If that frustration comes across as hating other UF sports, so be it.

I don't know why revenue determines their relevance? They are student athletes, and more so than football, competing in the name of our University. God bless them!

Spending on these other sports had nothing to do with our football issues. Our football issues started with Meyer's "esophageal spasms" and mushroomed with two bad coaching hires. Spending had nothing to do with Muschamp's offensive ineptitude or his failure to recruit offensive linemen.

I share your frustration but I refuse the proposition that football trumps everything else. As much as I love college football, and it is my favorite sport, I enjoyed the basketball championships in '06 and '07 as much as I did the football championships in '06 and '08*. And that first CWS championship last year was awesome!

Go Gators!

You’re partially right but miss the bigger picture - all of the issues contribute to the current problems. Bad coaching hires, refusal to “participate in an arms race”, focus on other sports at the expense of football, etc. Foley was comfortable where we were and got lapped by the competition. He bailed as his house of football cards started to collapse.

No one hates the other team.

We are just Gawd Damn tired of hearing we cant afford football facilities.

Many of these things will be shared anyway, dorms trainers etc, are for all sports.

Here’s a quote from Foley from 2014 since we’re on that topic, “I wear orange and blue goggles a lot, and I’m certainly willing to have wide-open eyes, but I don’t agree with the assessment that our facilities have fallen behind,” explained Foley. “We judge our facilities based on [whether] they help our programs be successful. Do they make an impact on their ability to be successful? Whether that’s a weight room for football or a gymnastics practice studio, whatever have you.”

Damn he sure was a cheap bastard! We’ve always had the money to have top notch football facilities but he was just fine with all the other schools surpassing us while we dig ourselves into a hole.

If we had great coaches this would not be much of an issue. We don't need to participate in an arms race, but rather build what is required to get the results we desire. And we have a reasonable limit on the debt that UAA has, many other schools have way too much debt.

He served us for a long time everyone should retire while they can still enjoy life.

The recruits disagree.

Do they?

In the last five seasons UF has gone: 4-8, 7-5, 10-4, 9-4 and 4-7. This has partly contributed to classes ranked 9, 21, 12, 11 and 14 by the 247 composite ranking. I think that might be one of the biggest mismatches of recruiting to record in the country.

Recruits are still coming to UF for now. I doubt that has to do with congeniality of the past staffs or the perception of the dental plan.

I suspect UF is still getting recruits because UF is UF, the SEC and UF has nice facilities, if not every little bell or whistle certain UAL fans on here like to complain about.

That's not the same dude, I'm almost positive that's a midget or whatever the correct word is now. I think someone is looking for some laughs.

I don't know if it's sarcasm or some of you are that dense. He posted that....about moving to Florida....after the reports of him not enrolling. I'd take it as he's still planning to move to Florida (or he's already moved here). So unless he's planning to enroll at FSU or Miami, it looks like we got him....
