exactly....Sonoma and PDS are prime examples of those that left and we have a few who have hung out and contribute now.....

This. I got banned from there after being on there since the Meyer years for pointing out Mac and Co sucked and Mullen was an underwhelming hire. I voted yes due to JH and Skink doing their best to get me banned for being negative . JH even argued that my screenname was negative (CitRain12). I had to explain to him it was chosen after Chris Rainey. The comparison of WM/Mac through 30 games really pissed them off. Either way he'll be on ignore.

I was banned for life on the other site because I continued to say Mac was a terrible coach and should have never been thought of as our coach. Then I got lucky and stumbled on this site and i couldn't be happier. On this site you actually allow us to have a voice without the threat of being banned. I know I haven't had much good to say about our coaches but it's nice to know I wont be banned if I voice my true opinion. I hope that never changes. Besides we all have the option to ignore people we dont want to see so why banned someone when if everyone just but him on ignore it basically takes away his voice away.

What's ironic is they attack anyone with a dissenting opinion. Then ban you for not towing the party line that Chump is awesome, Mac is awesome and Foley is awesome. Zero tolerance on voicing anything but rainbows and unicorns. They are tied to the university and it shows.

Going to fire another shot their way since they appear to be watching this thread and posting about it over there:
Snowflakes need a safe space from opinions they don't like. When you ban posters you don't agree with because they have different views on football you might as well put your picture in the dictionary next to the word snowflake. I am not a mod over here, and I've never advocated for banning anyone. If you think other boards are snowflakes for banning people for their opinions, then look in the mirror and examine your own board GCMB.
I just went over there for the first time and see that Oxrageous is an admin — that tells me all I need to know. A few years back I was a regular on another board - he was a pretty witty guy there, but advanced into a mod role and the board pretty much became all about him. Dude has a thin skin and a vindictive side.
That forum became dull and ultimately failed, due in no small part to this clown. So not surprising to find him in the middle of this other forum as you describe it. Have fun over there - not wasting my time. Thanks for the discussion though - give ‘em hell Byrd!
I really do believe they have a failing business model because the number of fans who actually think like them are few and far between. I suppose they have found their small nitch in the market, though. But that is all they will ever be...a small nitch in the market. Unless if they change their strategy. But hey they can sell their product to the couple hundred of Citrain’s in the world. :p GC will always be bigger because the average fan hopes and dreams about their team winning championships. You aren’t allowed to do that over there. You can question GC’s moderating practices all you want GCMB, but the large majority of fans have hopes and dreams of their team winning a championship. If you either a) ban them all or b) pummel them for being delusional your board is going to remain a small little board with 200 or so Citrain’s wringing their hands about Dan Mullen and his recruiting.

I'm not going to quote planks post, but the dude actually thinks the football program is in fine shape, but our board needs to change. Every real member here knows you can have any view you want, you just need the balls to stand your ground to earn everyone's respect.
