We should change the name of this thread to IPA reviews.

To switch it up, for the stout lovers on here, this is a really good beer. I'd had it in the bottle before and it was fine. But tried it recently on draft at the Yardhouse, and it was much better than I'd remembered. Just like with IPA's, some of the bourbon barreled stouts just go overboard with the bourbon and lose their balance. I think this one is really smooth in the way the flavor is introduced.

Yep. Dragon's milk is a winner. I think this one might be my favorite stout though.

I prefer the 239 Minute Hop Rape Quadruple IPA.

Sorry for the delayed response. No service in Whole Foods. Then I skateboarded home. But yeah, that 239 sounds great. Centennial hops, by chance?

That’s a goodun. Try the “Tuck It! Cilantro-Passion Fruit Ale”.

And MJM, that’s not actually a beer. If they’re serving that where you’re at, I’m afraid you may have inadvertently stumbled into the wrong type of place. I pray this reaches you in time.

Ooops that's actually what I have.

I really like the regular LH Milk Stout too. A lot.

Yep LH makes a great brew. Give their Blackjack porter a try in a few months.
I only see it around mid November through winter. I tried a stout I never had
before last night, and will post about it later. Pricey but damn good.

Highland imperium- stout

Think Guinness with more flavor . Smells like a mixture of chocolate and freshly baked cinnamon rolls/ loukoumades . Tastes like chocolate mixed with fresh coffee and baileys . The cream is noticeable right off the bat but fades away . Chocolate/ coffee is more present in the aftertaste . If you like left hand stout this ones for you. Solid A.

Green man wayfarer

Quality IPA here. Citrus blend with light hops and pineapple. Nothing real extraordinary here, but I’d pay ten bucks for a sixer . It’s a good brew . Solid B.

Oskar Blues ten fidy

Tread lightly here. This one is a bit different from the highland stout . It’s heavy chocolate and roasted black coffee right off the bat. The ten fidy hits you in the mouth at first sip, and doesn’t give you a Baileys aftertaste with the coffee like the highland imperium . It’s a true stout, and a damn good one . Solid A.

One of my top 5 all time favorites. At their brewery in NC, they also have it on nitro.

Saugatuck Brewing Company Rum Barrel Aged Imperial Stout. Tried this last night and absolutely loved it. Very rum forward, but still a really rich and balanced stout. Only beer I've ever tried from them. Expensive but excellent.
