Sorry you read it wrong. Regardless of whether Urbs knee and or when he knew its a done deal because there is no due process for high profile men anymore. IMHO.Weird. Only libs are against domestic violence?

I saw that, so embarrassing. Thought about posting something laughing at all of them but then decided they probably wouldn't even realize what I was saying and scrolled on past.I linked this thread on our Facebook page and there was a meltdown. Lot of serious people on Facebook, I guess.

I’m don’t think he should have hit anyone. He’s big and strong enough to intercede without punching. But at 18, adrenaline pumping, his sister on the pavement, getting punched, etc. his life shouldn’t be over, either.

Should OSU fire him? Well, yes if:
1. The allegations against the assistant coach are true. We've got one side of the story, which is hers, and there are a couple of inconsistencies in it from the reporter's tweets that broke the story. The most likely scenario is that there was mutual violence in that relationship but the larger more physically dominate husband obviously did more damage. As even the accusation of physical or sexual violence against a man is a potential career-ender I think a lot of care needs to made to ensure he's actually guilty.
2. The allegations that he knew about it can be verified to be true. Right now we have the assumption that he knew and didn't report because she texted his wife. There may be messages that I haven't seen, but the ones that I do could also be talking about infidelity - it wasn't clear. Even if there are clear messages you can't just assume that she told him. People should have the right to due process and the presumption of innocence and employers shouldn't give in to mob rule.

1. They can prove that he knew about an allegation of abuse and his contract requires him to report any potential Title IX violations.

Apparently he is now claiming that he reported the incidents in accordance with the policies in place then. If this is actually true there should be written evidence.
Now his new contract has not yet been signed by everyone to make it effective, that might mean the new portions don't apply.

This is the dumbest topic I’ve seen in a long time. If we fired a new coach before he even coached a game we would be at the bottom of all coach’s lists in the future. Meyer is a thing of the past, let’s move on.
