Here's out it will play out; the investigation will find that while Meyer reported the 2015 incident to some higher up (thus shifting responsibility), there were still areas where this reporting system could be improved both from the coaching staff and by the administration. As a result, Meyer will be suspended for four games (back in time for PSU, how convenient) and the University will make a number of improvements for reporting and to properly address allegations of abuse to "make sure this never happens again."

Seems pretty spot on...they aren’t firing Meyer for this...someone will fall on the sword with a nice severance package

Wait, people were guaranteeing that he would be fired by last Friday. Now it's Monday and he is still there. What's going on?

Yeah surviving Friday certainly makes it look like they are trying to keep him.

Keep the political garbage out of this.

Meyer is a football coach I love because he brought my Gators 2 titles and complete domination over our rivals. You're the guy that defended Muschamp and Butters to the bitter end, yet hate Meyer. It's bizarre.
Wrong again. I was WAY off the Mac Train before it derailed. Muschamp was on his last chance after ‘13 and I dropped him after Missouri in ‘14.

My distaste for Urban has a hell of a lot more to do with him being a sh*t human being and blatant liar as opposed to any accomplishments he had here. And would you look at that, my distaste for him was proven true when he defended and protected a wife beater, then lied on national TV about it.

Foley tolerated it all and yet he wouldn't go to bat for SOS against an FSU thug.

I remember somebody (can’t remember the person’s screen name) on the old board posted a lengthy account that detailed how Meyer allegedly ran roughshod over Foley and would go directly to Machen for things he wanted. The poster allegedly had sources or had a friend with sources inside the AD’s office. This same post claimed Meyer was the one who rescinded his 1st resignation b/c Daz wasn’t going to be tapped as his replacement. Anybody else remember what I’m talking about? Personally I was skeptical of the post being legit but it seemed many people believed what was written. With that being said, maybe Foley didn’t have much power over Meyer due to the Machen connection.
