Violent is a description I like, even though the pads have only been on a very short time.
Yes I want a high scoring offense but, I’m going to watch this defense very closely this year.

Anything violent on the field from the defense is a good thing. Miller and Houston may not have prototypical LB height, though it seems like they've grown a bit in the past year per the roster, but they look pretty damn stout. I'm expecting them to announce their presence with authority this year.

Well, according to DSS that's impossible because Alabama turns away 4-star recruits..... :D
I was primarily referencing theirs compares to ours. And I'm right. That crap about Florida being better than Alabama at anything right now is nothing more than an attempt by the sports writers to generate excitement and more clicks.

Let's get together at the end of the season and talk about it. I'll be easy to find. I'll be the guy laughing and pointing at you.

JFC we even talk like losers now, looking using for managers who don't fumble. Gd Mushelstainthink.

I DON'T GIVE A FVKK if he turns the ball over as long as he is putting points on the board. Danny Wuerrfel threw 42 interceptions and had fumbles too. Hell, these shytty offenses in the SEC East can't score if you give them the ball on your own 30.

I want to see us lighting up the scoreboard and IDGAF if the QB turns it over some.

So you are ready to unleash the full firepower of Franks and whatever comes from that...:D

I don't know how you design an offense around Franks or Trash. I guess the best hope is that Franks can run a little and EJ can develop QUICKLY.

I just don't want anymore fvkking McElchump talk around our program.

You may or may not be right....and sure, I'll be here at the end of the season. I think our DL will be pretty damn good w/ a bunch of veterans returning and a bunch of younger 4-star DT's - hopefully maturing. In fact, I think they'll be our best group as far as consistency due to the depth of the group. The CB's are damn good.....the first 2; after that it's suspect. The DL can sustain injuries and still have a great year. It's the one group, as a whole, on the D that is in very good shape. Polite, Slaton, Zuniga, Conliffe, Clark, Jefferson, Clayton, Ancrum, Shuler, Campbell, Carter, Dunlap....that's a pretty good group. Doesn't include freshman Langham or Chatfield (both 4-stars). Yeah, I like our DL.

I am really hoping the stories about Franks starting to get a hold on things is true.

Did you watch any of the twitter videos? Franks and Trask are making a heck of an effort running the ball. They aren't acting like p*ssies and are dropping their shoulder's/bodies and are giving an extra effort. They are taking hits and - at the very least - making an effort to run Mullen's "system". It's all we can ask - for their level of talent.

I'm no fan of Franks after watching the performance he put on last year....and his arrogant excuses (i.e. not taking any blame). But, I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt. I've said, over and over, that I think Franks is "uncoachable" - due to his running out of bounds over and over, behind the LOS - that's not coached by even terrible coaches like Nussmeir. He did that on his own. Franks has to prove it - to Mullen, his teammates...and the fans. If he doesn't, let's put him on the bench...for good, and let Trask or EJ take over. But it appears Mullen is leaning towards Franks right now....and I appreciate the effort I've seen in the twitter videos.

I’m with most folks in that I don’t care who lines up behind center, as long as we have a functional offense that can score a few points.

Franks definitely has some mobility he was just never able to show it off in the Butters n Nuss offense due to the fact that they would rather him stand in the pocket like a statue and take a sack instead of trying to use his mobility to improvise.
