Franks definitely has some mobility he was just never able to show it off in the Butters n Nuss offense due to the fact that they would rather him stand in the pocket like a statue and take a sack instead of trying to use his mobility to improvise.

Im pulling for franks. Its a little scary but I know he is going to start and I pray he is ready. I am so sick of watching suck ass football.

JFC we even talk like losers now, looking using for managers who don't fumble. Gd Mushelstainthink.

I DON'T GIVE A FVKK if he turns the ball over as long as he is putting points on the board. Danny Wuerrfel threw 42 interceptions and had fumbles too. Hell, these shytty offenses in the SEC East can't score if you give them the ball on your own 30.

I want to see us lighting up the scoreboard and IDGAF if the QB turns it over some.

I think he meant he'd rather see us check down when they take away the big play rather than make a bone headed throw into triple coverage because he's locked on to the guy the play is supposed to go to.

As long as they don’t turn it over. I think that’s what we all want anyway. Just don’t lose the game for us, ya know.
I totally agree, but I miss the days under SOS when we didn’t give a turnover a second thought. 4 or 5 TD passes can really offset 2 or 3 interceptions almost every time.

Yeah that was a joke just to get a rise out of our friendly neighborhood lesbian donkey.

I’m fully in the camp of making mistakes en route to victory. People often talk about Wright’s hit on Joey Kent as the turning point in the ‘95 ut game, when actually we ended up having a sack-fumble-6 on the very next drive, which gave them their biggest lead. The biggest play was Ike’s TD in answer just before half. We won that game because we kept taking shots and refused to lose. Any other mindset is flawed at its core.

He has some speed in the open field after he gets going but he is definitely not the type of runner that can run what Mullen wants his QB to run. I doubt he runs for much at all against our SEC foes except the occasional play where the defense guesses wrong and he has a big opening to take off into.

Looks like 3 blockers plus Franks vs 3 defenders . So 4 vs 3, how the hell would he not score on those drills?

Trying to imagine them doing that with Tebow or even Fitzgerald. They would literally just walk into the endzone. I guess if you had some large DTs in there there could possibly be a slim chance to tackle them rarely.

I think he is going to have to run, for his life. I hope the OL proves me wrong, but a decade of crappy line play has me beat down. Hoping CDM is playing quick to their strengths

Did you watch any of the twitter videos? Franks and Trask are making a heck of an effort running the ball. They aren't acting like p*ssies and are dropping their shoulder's/bodies and are giving an extra effort. They are taking hits and - at the very least - making an effort to run Mullen's "system". It's all we can ask - for their level of talent.

I'm no fan of Franks after watching the performance he put on last year....and his arrogant excuses (i.e. not taking any blame). But, I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt. I've said, over and over, that I think Franks is "uncoachable" - due to his running out of bounds over and over, behind the LOS - that's not coached by even terrible coaches like Nussmeir. He did that on his own. Franks has to prove it - to Mullen, his teammates...and the fans. If he doesn't, let's put him on the bench...for good, and let Trask or EJ take over. But it appears Mullen is leaning towards Franks right now....and I appreciate the effort I've seen in the twitter videos.
Are these Twitter videos linked here somewhere?

Looked like some WR’s blocking some DB’s, put Slaton in there and let Franks try then. Lol

Breaking down Florida's depth chart in fall camp

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- With eight practices in the books in fall camp and a couple of sessions open to the media, Swamp247 has a pretty good idea what the current depth chart looks like. We break it down for you inside, so check it out.

First and foremost, the battle at quarterback appears to be going about as expected. Returning starter Feleipe Franks is still holding onto a narrow lead for the job, and as we indicated in our VIP Practice Notes on the Offense on Saturday, it might be tough for Kyle Trask to really push for the job while nursing an injury to his throwing hand.

But while the quarterback race appears to be taking shape, the depth chart at some other positions is much more muddled.

There are some serious competitions going on at running back and receiver, with a ton of good players vying for serious playing time against quality returning players.

The Gators should have one of their best collections of skill position talent in quite some time.

That said, there are still some concerns offensively. While the quarterback picture is clearing up, the play there has been just average, for the most part. The offensive line also appears mostly settled in terms of starters, but there needs to be more push from backups to take over key roles. Until those units really solidy themselves, it's hard to see the offense really taking off.

Defensively, there are a lot of jobs still up for grabs, though there figures to be pretty heavy rotation at most positions. The defensive line will see a ton of players in the mix.

Two positions that still need some settling in terms of identifying quality starters are interior linebacker and safety. Both of those position groups have had players in and out of the lineup and nobody has firmly taken control of starting jobs outside of junior linebacker David Reese.

Anyway, let's get to the depth chart. Here goes.

Reminds me of the SOS luxury of nary a worry, smiling just 'cause we had a third and 15.

Goldkamp is all fvkked up still, stuck in Mushchump 4-3 hybrid. Rush/Buck end, two "middle LBs" and one outside. Two DTs instead of one NT and two DEs. All fvkked up.

You have never heard Grantham use these terms, for a reason.

I get it, but in reality, it is a short punt.

Im tired of conservative azz playcalling.
